Proluge:
Late one night Tsukino Usagi was tossing and turning in her sleep. Luna watched and listened carefully to what her young charge would say in her sleep.
"Iie…leave me alone! Onegai!" Usagi cried in her nightmare-induced sleep.
"What are you dreaming about Usagi-chan?" Luna asked her in a worried tone.

Usagi's Nightmare:
She was running. Every now and then she would look over her shoulder in fear. She could hear the dogs baying, and the horses galloping on the trail behind her. A few minutes later a horse and soldier appeared on the hill. The soldier saw her and gave a shout pointing in her direction. The sound of more horses broke the cold winter air, and five more soldiers and their Lord appeared on the hill.
She tore her eyes away from the hill and forced herself to pick up speed and she ran even faster. She knew that if her former love and master caught her she would be tortured and then impaled on an iron pike. Just as her predecessors had been when he got tired of their company. Tears formed in her eyes and trailed down her cheeks where the cold mountain air froze them. She had been on the run since yesterday morning; while her lord had been busy with some diplomats and merchants from other continents. She didn't know when he had learned of her escape, but it had been much to soon. She gave a gasp of pain as the child in her womb gave her a sharp kick. More tears fell from her eyes. She was so cold and tired and hungry. She wished that she could stop and rest; but she dared not to. Especially when her master and his soldiers were closing in on her.
She looked over her shoulder again and saw that the soldier who had spotted her first was almost upon her. She quickly jumped to the side not realizing that she had been running along a deep mountain gorge. She realized her mistake to late and she fell into it, and landed on her back in a huge snowdrift. She gasped in pain and rolled over on to her side. The snow had cushioned most of the impact, but she wasn't sure that it was enough to cushion her unborn child. She looked up and saw her former love and the rest of his soldiers arrive where the other soldier was. She saw him yell at the soldier and ordered two of the other soldiers to take him away and throw him in to the dungeon to await his punishment. The two soldiers tried to grab the foolhardy soldier but he panicked and took off with the other two soldiers hot on his heels. Ten minutes later they rode back pulling the soldier tied up in a rope behind them. The soldier screamed and pleaded for his life, but his two companions turned a deaf ear to his pleas.
Her love who had been climbing down the steep gorge to the snowdrift where she lay reached her a minute later. He knelt down next to her in the deep snow she felt him press his fingers on to the hollow of her neck searching for a pulse. When he found it he looked up toward the remaining soldiers and ordered them to gather firewood and set up a lean to. The soldiers hurried off to do what they were ordered. He then turned his attention back to her and said softly:
"Hold on my love…. Just hold on."
She then lost consciousness and knew nothing more.
End dream.

Usagi bolted upward with a strangled cry. Every night this past week she had been dreaming of that strange man. Most of the time the dreams showed him as a loving person, but lately the dreams had shifted to terrifying moments when he would grab and shake her angrily, and she would fear for her life.
'Who was he? Why did I feel as though I still loved him, and yet I wanted to escape from him?' She wondered to herself.
There was a knock on her bedroom door and her mother came in wearing a robe.
"Usagi-chan…daijoubu desu ka?" Her mother asked her as she approached Usagi's bed and sat down on the edge of it.
Usagi took a deep breath trying to calm herself and nodded her head. Although the nightmare was still fresh in her mind.
"Hai Kaasan…I just had another dream about that strange man, and I was trying to escape him; but he and his soldiers had caught up with me and I had tried to evade capture by jumping to the side. Only I hadn't realized that I was running along a deep mountain gorge and I plummeted downward and landed in to a deep snow drift." She told her mother who had gone pale when she heard it.
Ikuko brushed aside a damp clump of hair from Usagi's forehead. She honestly didn't know what to make of her little girl's dreams and nightmares.
"Perhaps we should see a psychiatrist, or perhaps a dream specialist. Maybe they can shed some light on why you have been having these strange and horrifying dreams." She said while gently pushing her daughter back down in to bed and tucking her in. She knew that Usagi's nightmares were getting worse, and she wanted to find out what had been causing them.
Usagi nodded her head hesitantly and replied: "Maybe your right Kaasan." She murmured sleepily.
Ikuko got off the bed and headed toward the bedroom door and lay her finger down on the light switch. She said good night and turned the light off, and closed the door behind her.
Usagi curled up underneath the covers and took another deep breath. 'Maybe seeing a psychiatrist, or a dream specialist is a good idea.' She thought to herself drowsily and she slowly drifted off in to a deep dreamless sleep.
Luna lay back down on cushion next to Usagi's bed and sighed. 'Perhaps I should call a scout meeting with the Inners and Outers. Perhaps Setsuna or Rei can shed some light on it. If it's a dark kingdom attack we need to be prepared.' Luna thought to herself. She looked over at Usagi who had begun to frown usually the tell tale sign of yet another nightmare.
'I'll call the meeting tomorrow afternoon while Usagi is busy. I don't want Usagi to worry about any upcoming attacks until I'm absolutely sure that there really is such a threat.'
With that thought in mind Luna closed her eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Elsewhere in the Headquarters of Hellsing
London, England.
The master vampire Arucard was sitting in a chair with his feet perched up on to the table; a bottle of blood and a drinking glass were sitting next to him untouched. He was staring at an old portrait of himself. It had once been a set with a portrait of his love sitting on a balcony praying for the poor souls whom he had put to death. It had been completed before a terrible misunderstanding; that had ultimately led to her attempted escape, as well as her untimely death.
"Serena…my love. It has been so long since you died on that cold December evening. I never even got the chance too apologize to you for doubting your faithfulness. I still remember you lying there in the snow as you passed away from the cold and from exhaustion." He said with what could only be described as sadness.
He then turned his attention to the bottle and poured himself a glass, and held it up in a toast. "To you my love, may we one day be reunited." He said and then he downed the blood in a couple of gulps. He then heard a somewhat loud knock on his door.
"Come in Police girl." He called out, and his vampire protégé. Celes Victoria walked in with a message from his human master: Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing. Apparently she had been trying to get in contact with Arucard via their telepathic link. But for some reason he had not been responding so she told Walter to fetch Arucard, or have Celes get him.
"Master Arucard…. Sir Integra wants to see you in her office, Immediately." She told her master.
Arucard downed another glass of blood and then got out of his chair; he walked in to the shadows and appeared in to Sir Integra's office. She was presently sitting behind her desk looking at some surveillance photos of a vampire attack near the docks. Integra looked up and saw Arucard coming in through the shadows.
"There you are Arucard. Where have you been?" She asked him "I have been trying to contact you through our link for half an hour!" She asked him gruffly while biting hard on her cigar.
Arucard looked at his master and smirked. "I was in my chamber. I wanted too see how long it would be before you sent someone to fetch me." He remarked snidely.
Integra's teeth clenched in annoyance. It was times like these that Arucard's snide remarks annoyed the hell out of her. She often wished that he would grow out of it; but it looked like that it wouldn't be happening anytime soon in her lifetime. Not only that but his sense of humor was getting more and more horrifying. She was still trying to placate the Japanese Prime Minister who had been scared out of his wits last week when Arucard merged his head in to the Big Game Trophy Room. When the Prime Minister walked in to the room he saw Arucard's head mounted on the wall. Integra sighed that hadn't been the only thing that Arucard had done. Last week a TV crew had arrived to tape the Prime Minister's visit; when he had gone in the Trophy Room they were right behind him. When the Prime Minister saw Arucard's head on the wall he almost had a coronary. The TV crew had also seen Arucard and screamed
And one of the crew had taped the whole thing. So now her family manor was listed as one of the most haunted places in England.
She shook her head and went straight to the matter at hand. "There have been numerous vampire attacks near the docks. Since we still haven't fully trained the new operatives you and your protégé will have to go and take care of the assignment." She told him cooly.
Arucard gave a mock bow and merged with the shadows again; a minute later he was back in his chamber where Celes was waiting.
"Get your weapons Police Girl. We have a mission." He told her.
"Yes Master." Celes responded and headed off to her chamber where she kept her Halcannon and its ammo. When she had them went to where her master was waiting, and the two of them walked off in to the night.

Well what do you think? This story has been going on in my head for quite awhile and I figured that I might as well type it and get it out of my head. Oh…and the next chapter of Avenging Angel is in it's beginning stages. I have already written a few pages in my small notebook. So it's being written slowly but surely. I have been having a bit of a problem with writers block when it came to that fan fiction; Ideas come and go so when I have an idea I take out the notebook and start writing. So don't worry I haven't given up on it.
