"Okay Gir," Zim said as he laid an awfully heavy bag of baking supplies on the table. "I would like you to help me make a cupcake."

Gir squeed at the though of finally being able to teach his master the joy of making cupcakes. Zim never had interest in the idea of sweet colourful earth food. In fact, he hardly approved of earth food at all. Gir quickly ran to help Zim unload the bags from the store to find bags of flour, sugar, a carton of eggs, milk, chocolate cake batter, vanilla icing, food coloring and candy letters.

"I'll go get the mixing bowl, kay?" Gir sang as he skipped across the kitchen floor to the cupboards where a large purple mixing bowl sat.

Gir placed it on the counter in front of Zim as Zim read the back of the cake batter box to see what to do first. Zim read carefully, making sure that is Irken mind took in every bit of instruction. Zim carefully ripped the top off the cake batter box and poured the dry mixture into the purple bowl.

Gir got a measuring cup from the cupboard where the mixing bowl use to be and placed it on the counter, pouring a cup of milk into it. Zim picked up the measuring cup and poured the milk into the dry chocolate powder making it darker in color and more moist.

Gir opened up the egg carton and handed Zim two eggs. Zim stared at them for a moment, then sheepishly spoke up. "I don't know how to crack an egg."

Gir giggled a little bit, but stopped when he saw that this statement made his master upset. Gir took the two eggs from Zim and cracked both into the bowl without one shell landing in the mixture.

Zim cheered up a bit as Gir handed him a wooden spoon to stir the batter together to that it would be all mixed together. Zim started to stir and hum a small toon he had heard on the radio the day before. Before long, the batter was all mixed up and Gir had the cupcake pan all ready for the oven.

Gir and Zim evenly poured batter into each small red liner. After all eight where filled, Gir had set the oven to 325 decrees F and the two invaders left the cupcakes to bake for about twenty minutes.

Ding ding. The timer had gone off. The cupcakes where all done and ready to be decorated. Gir put on two orange oven mitts and carefully opened the oven door and took out the warm chocolate cupcakes. Zim got another mixing bowl and placed the whole tub of light icing into the bowl and grabbed the package of food coloring. He dumped in about four or five drops making the icing a light pink.

Zim took a butter knife and one of the best-looking cupcakes from the pan. He started spreading the pink sugar around on to of the cupcake. Making sure every inch of brown was covered in pink, Zim then took the container of red sprinkles from beside Gir, who was eating all the other seven cupcakes, and put some in his hand, spreading them around in a heart shape. Finally, taking the candy letters and writing the finally message to finish is work of art.

"Perfect," He smiled. Zim placed the special cupcake in a container for the night so it would be just right for skool tomorrow.

At skool.

Zim held the cupcake in his hands and started searching the hallways. Zim turned as he heard the familiar voice come from behind him, the one who was going to be the true owner of the special cupcake.

"Hello, Zim," Smirked the earth human, who seemed to have spotted the cupcake.

"Hello, Dib-monkey. I see you have noticed my cupcake, well let me tell you, this cupcake is to help me and my 'human affection' for the rightful owner of the here cupcake," Zim spoke.

"Oh," Dib evilly grinned." Who is it, Zim?"

Zim blushed a little and looked away sheepishly. "It's a…." He stopped for a moment, then held out the cupcake toward Dib. "It's for you."
