A Magical Family

Chapter 1

The Stationmaster's House

The little village of Hogsmeade was a well know village in the magical world. It sat in with in the shadow of the great Hogwarts castle. A castle that had seen some good and bad times. The village itself had been slowly growing. So far it had a post office, four tea rooms, two pubs, a healers (or a doctors surgery as the muggles would have called it) sweets and jokes shops, a wand makers and even a fire station (for some reason). The village also had its own Quidditch pitch and a team the Hogsmeade Hawks.

On the edge of the village sat the local train station. The station had been their ever since Queen Victoira was on the throne of England and was still today very much in use. Ever since Magical bill 45 was passed through. Muggle trains were allowed to stop at the station. No Muggles ever got off the train but it gave wizards and witches easy access to Duff Town (whose population was about 50% muggle and 50% magical).

On the other side of the road was a three bedroom Semi-Detached house. The houses belonged to the Stationmaster and the Signalman. However today the Hogsmeade Signalman lived in the Three Broomstick along with his wife who was the land lady.

The stationmaster's house was now lived in by Susan Bones and her daughter Rachel. It wasn't a bad place to live to be honest. Rachel was in her fourth year at Hogwarts and because they lived so close to the Castle she didn't have to sleep in the dormitory there. Rachel was a slim girl with brown busy hair. She spent most of her time studying so she could get her dream job as a Healer.

Susan was a tall slim woman with a face that made her look so young people often mistaken her for being 19 or even 20. In fact she was 29. She worked as the stationmaster for Hogsmeade station and she enjoyed every minute of it. But every night at half past six. She would close the ticket office and return home to her Civil Partner. Katie Bell.

Like Susan, Katie's husband had left her. And like Susan, Katie became bi-sexual. Katie had two kids. The oldest was her son Harry. He was 19 and a Duff Town Magical College student how didn't really care as much about studying as Rachel did. He was a tall lad with brown hair. He was a good Quidditch player and plaid for the Hogsmeade Hawks.

His little sister Matilda was 14 and in the same year and house as Rachel. She was more into hanging out with mates and trying to pick up boys. Than being interested in work. However somehow she was still getting good marks.

Katie herself was once a Quidditch play for the Holyhead Harpies how plaid alongside the famous Ginny Potter. Now after having Matilda she turned her talents to being manager for the Hogsmeade Hawks. Katie and Susan had been friends for years and when Susan's husband left her it was a chance encounter that brought the two families together.

The house its self was lovely. There was a nice good sized living room with a fire place, a TV in the corner and an upright piano that Katie was very good at playing. There was door located on the lift wall that led into next doors house. The kitchen wasn't very big but was just right for three people to use at the same time. Upstairs was three good sized bedrooms and a lovely bathroom that Susan had done up herself.

Next door was Katie's Brother Tommy's house. He was an odd fellow with wild looking ginger hair. He was a magical comedian and had done a few gigs in both Hogsmeade and Duff Town.

Shockley Tommy was married to a lovely woman with long brown hair. Her name was Michelle. She was an Auror that was assigned to a team that's job was to protect Hogsmeade. Katie loved seeing them two together. However as she had learnt from being with Susan. When living in Hogsmeade you should always expect the unexpected.
