A/N: Hey. This is a new thing I've been working on. I'm quite sure most of the story will be in third person, following Paul, as I've made it a point to challenge myself with third person writing. Also, I've removed John and Paul's Beatle girls (undecided if I'd like to remove the later girls just yet).
There will be contents surrounding drugs, sex, alcohol, affairs, depression, the whole nine yards. I will NOT include themes of sexual assault or discrimination because that's disgusting. Anyway.
I do NOT sugar coat any of the Beatles by any means. This is painting out each and every one of the Beatles' flaws as they are. They will be the trouble. Just warning you.
Disclaimer: I still do not own the Beatles or anything involving the Beatles but the Beatles still own me unfortunately!
Prologue
Paul
Letting go is quite possibly the hardest thing to do once you're in love. I know that's cliché to say, but it's the truth. Whether it be death, breaking up, or even longing—there's nothing worse than letting go. It's because you're giving up your own happiness for the sake of someone else's.
Then again… that is what love is all about, isn't it?
Letting go is love. When you let go, you're sacrificing your happiness for theirs. You're putting them before you put yourself. Is sacrificing yourself for someone not equivalent to showing your love for them?
It is.
And at this point in my life, I feel as though all I've done is let go over and over again. It is sacrifice after sacrifice, slowly dimming me down into a selfless person who continuously dedicates himself to the happiness of one person. This is a story of love.
It's the story of how I met the love of my life.
