The team sat around on the grass of the local park. The moon was the only source of light aside from the occasional cell phone glow and the night sky was filled with group whispers. Just a typical Monday night recovering from the annoyance of school starting again after a relaxing weekend.
"You guys wanna play a game?" KC asked the shadowed group.
"Uh, that depends. What game?" Zack replied.
"Well how about 'Do You Remember?'" KC suggested.
"Sounds cool; how do you play?" Riley asked.
"Well one person asks a group if they remember a certain place and the group has to figure out who it is." KC responded.
"Okay, let's just do that." Sam said, "Who wants to start?"
"I'll start so you guys can get an idea. Okay, do you remember math on Friday?" KC started. It was silent for a few moments until a snicker broke the silence.
"I remember that Dylan fell asleep and started snoring." Jackie announced, giggling at the memory.
"Right! Okay so it's your turn Jackie." KC replied happily.
"Okay. Do you remember last Saturday?"
"That doesn't work; it has to be a place." Zack said.
"Oh fine. Details. Do you remember last week's homecoming?"
"I think this one's pretty obvious." Riley said laughing.
"Yes, yes I do." Sam said, smiling in the darkness, "Okay. Do you remember the arcade on Sunday?"
"Heh heh...sorry 'bout that Sam." Zack said, recalling the memory.
"What happened?" KC asked amused.
"We collided head on in the go karts." Zack replied, "Anyway, do you remember...oh! Do you remember the movie theatre on Saturday?"
"Yes, I caught you just as you were having your first kiss," Riley joked but suddenly became serious as if he was remembering something, "Speaking of that, KC do you remember this place right here, right now?"
"I'm here, but no I don't think I remember anything here." KC replied confused.
"Well you will." Riley replied.
"Wha-" KC started but was interrupted by the static that was flowing through her lips as Riley pressed his against hers.
