The Night Before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the bases,

Not an alarm was blaring, as quiet as stasis.

The Energon cubes were all filled, ready to drink,

For Transformers who'd used energy to the brink.

Giant lights were hung 'round the Ark,

Not a surface was spared or stark.

The opposite base had no light at all,

Just high grade Energon, ready for call.

Megatron declared this the perfect day for his crime,

"Because the humans are in Christmas time!"

So all the Decepticons were quickly hailed,

And groans were heard as the presents were bailed.

The Autobots were gathered 'round Teletran One,

When the alarm rang out and interrupted the fun.

"Alert! Alert!" it hastily cried.

"Not now!" Hot Rod angrily replied.

Sunstreaker's response is not fit to crow,

For his score was about to pass that of his bro.

Teletran reported as Optimus stepped up in way,

"Autobots transform and save Christmas day!"

Off they drove toward the city of the raid,

While the Decepticons got the energy they craved.

The Autobots transformed and met their foes.

But soon the Decepticons were landing the blows.

Optimus however had one trick to be dealt,

There was something Megatron could never melt.

"Autobots all together!" he called after a fling

And soon all the Autobots began to sing!

The Decepticons were so stunned they stilled as if in danger

The Autobots approached belting "Away in a Manger."

Megatron was appalled and ordered the retreat.

Everyone cheered at their enemies' defeat.

"Never doubt the spirit of Christmas" Optimus stated.

"I hate Christmas" Megatron screamed deflated.

The humans came out, continuing the song with joy.

All this for the birth of a little boy?

But the Autobots learned that this day was good.

And soon the season was understood.

They went back and sat all together,

They'd keep this day as tradition forever.

"Merry Christmas to all a sentient being!"

The Autobots now knew the true meaning.

It'd be a time to be grateful and enjoy friends,

For no one knows when the battle ends.
