Clare was mad. she was having a bad day and it just kept getting worse.
First off Allie forgot to pick her up from school ugh, she had to take the city bus. Then on the bus some hobo started hitting on her. "Yeah right like Id ever go for a guy like that when I have Eli whos perfect obviously." There was lots of traffic and when she looked at her shiney white iphone she saw she was already late! "Ugh this will not be a good day she thought." When she got to school finally she had a detention for being late and missing a test, this was just not her day. She went to english class excited to see her boyfriend but when she got there the seat in front of hers was empty. Elis never really early so she wasnt surprised that is until he didn't show up at all. Lucnch time, with no Eli she decided to sit with her good friend Adam who was eating with his girlfriend Becky his brother Drew and his future sister in law Bianca. Great she's a fith wheel. "Hey Clare wheres Eli?" Adam asked. Becky rolled her eyes still not liking Eli much ater all he didnt believe in jesus. Clare shrugged and pulled out her phone, sending him a text.
"Nice of you to show up to english ;p"
He replied back seconds later surprising her
"Sorry I dont feel well so Bullfrog let me skip"
"Aw should I bring you over some soup I'm on my lunch break right now?"
"No Im fine and I dont want you to catch anything so Ill just see you soon love you"
"...K..love you to.."
She was very upset at this point "Whats wrong saint Clare did you break a nail?" Bianca snarked
Clare glared and Bianca stuck her tongue out laughing. "No its just today is not a good day...I'll see you guys later" she got up
"Dont forget jesus club meeting tomorrow" becky called as she left
That afternoon went by sloooooooowww, she managed to get Pereno to let her out of detention early though since she was a teachers pet.
She decided she wanted to stop by Elis and see how he was doing so she made her way over there and knocked. She didnt see Cece or Bullfrogs cars so she wasnt sure if anyone was home but then she realised the door was unlocked and let herself in. "Eli? Cece? Bullfrog?" then she walked into the kitchen and saw Eli, pouring two glasses of wine "Whats all this I thought you were sick?" she asked shocked
"Surprise he smiled"" an then she remembered what day it was
"Happy valentines day my love" he said planting a kiss on her lips and she kissed back
She looked on the dinner on the table and smiled super wide
"And if you like this just wait till you see what I have planned for after dinner." he winked
Yeah, ELi is definitely good at making bad days incredible
