Chilled Fervour
He'd never admit the truth, the reason he went to her of all people in the first place.
But when he found out Dustin - or whatever his name was - was there and that she wasn't wearing a bra, things got interesting and he thanked the spur of the moment that led him to her.
Her behaviour did astonish him, he'd never taken her for the kind of woman that just jumped the next best guy.
"You just met him!"
Her eyes grew bigger as she leaned closer.
"I like him. And I like sex."
That comment was bound to make him leer suggestively, but she obviously didn't mind too much.
"I know. I vividly remember."
Flashes of a memory from times and places almost forgotten, leaving them both grinning and blushing like teenagers.
They'd promised, back then, when he had still been Greg House, already a jerk, but without the Vicodin, and she an innocent, young girl with so many wonderful dreams, they'd promised to never let it come up again. Never.
But he hadn't been able to resist that opportunity. In the past weeks, she'd reminded him so often of the way they used to be, too often to ignore what it did to him. And now here they were, their minds clouded from the memories of that one night.
"I vividly remember", he mumbled again. "And I'll never forget."
