Tears threatened to fall from Kise's eyes— he just couldn't be careful, couldn't he? How many times had he been reckless? How many times had he been told to stay safe? How many times had he promised that he would? Just how many times?

"This is all your fault, Aominecchi," the blonde choked out, clutching the bluenette closer to his chest. He didn't care if he was going to cry his eyes out. He didn't care that he was getting blood— Aomine's blood— all over his $500 clothes that weren't even his. He couldn't and wouldn't give a damn about that.

Not when Aomine was dying right in front of him.

"All your fault." Screwing his eyes shut, several tears fell from the blonde's eyes and dropped onto Touou's former ace's forehead, intermingling with blood. A sob wracked his body, gripping the back of Aomine's shirt so hard that his knuckles were white. "Don't die on me. Please! I'm begging you—!"

"Please come back to me."

Tears began falling freely from him, each drop landing on Aomine's face. Of course, Kise knew deep down that it was his fault that Aomine was dying in his arms, his fault that Aomine had to save him, his fault for not being careful like the bluenette had asked.

"But I didn't ask you to save me!" he wailed, digging his nails into his palm. His heart constricted inside his chest. He wouldn't be able to hear Aomine's voice. He wouldn't be able to see his smile. He wouldn't be able to play basketball with him anymore. "Why did you push me out of the way? You should have let me get hit by the car!" Another choked sob came from the back of his throat.

"You should have let me die."

A/N: OKAY, SO I'M NOT DEAD, I JUST HAVEN'T HAD INSPIRATION LATELY. AND I'VE BEEN WATCHING KUROKO NO BASUKE. IT'S SUCH A GOOD ANIME. And I whipped this up a couple days ago, and I hope it's okay. Anyway, I might be rewriting the Hibari x OC story, and the Hibari x Fem!Tsuna might be on hold even more than usual LOL.
