AN I've had a few positive reviews for my filk Angel on the Run and I've had a few more postive reviews for my M/L fanfic Eurydice's story, so I decided to post this M/L filk I wrote. It's set to 'She's An Angel' by They Might be Giants. Let me know what you think.
Falling for Chimera
by TerriWrym
Late last night I met her
She was breaking and entering
So I confronted her at gunpoint, and complemented her taste in art
Then she jumped out the window
From at least twenty stories up
The only thing she made away with, though
Was my flabbergasted heart.
Why did she come here over anywhere else
How should I react? These things aren't worth all that much
Not in today's economy.
When you're falling for Chimera
It doesn't mean you have to throw your body off a building
It doesn't mean she needs a white knight
Riding off to rescue, any of the helpless few
On the run from a secret program
Always looking o'er her shoulder
Some times I think I could not live that
Other times I know I already have
I know now she's an angel
I'm one of the few who knows
I'm worried that something might happen to her
If anyone ever finds out.
Why did she come here over anywhere else.
How should I react? I know her now, better than
She wants to know herself
When you're falling for Chimera
It doesn't mean you have to throw your body off a building
She doesn't need a white knight, doesn't need a martyr
Doesn't need a new CO
I know they have a search program
Seeking her and those who are like her
But when you've fallen for Chimera
You've thrown you're body off that building
Never needed to be perfect, never needed to be walking
Never needed to be other than you are...
