Up for Parole
Joey Baines was sitting in his prison cell when a guard handed him an envelope. Once the guard left, he opened the envelope and saw that it was a parole request form.
Joey carefully looked over the form and picked up a pen. He decided that he would fill out the form with fictional answers.
One of the questions asked if he had any jobs in the prison. Even though he worked cleaning duty, he put down that he cooked the food in the cafeteria and took care of the laundry.
Another question asked what crime he committed. Even though he robbed the Hill Valley Bank, he put down that he stole money from the safe at his non existent grocery store job.
Joey continued filling out the form with fictional answers. Once he was done, he summoned the guard who came and took the form from him.
Two weeks later
Joey was sitting in the hearing room before a group of parole judges. They were currently looking over his parole request form.
"Joey Baines, you put that you cook the food in the cafeteria and take care of the laundry on the parole request form," the head parole judge said.
"That's right," Joey confirmed.
"You also put down that you stole money from the safe at your grocery store job."
"That's how I ended up here."
The head parole judge continued to go over the form. Joey confirmed each fictional answer he put down on the form.
"We've checked with the warden and he told us that you work cleaning duty and you robbed the Hill Valley bank which means you falsified your parole request form," the head parole judge said. "Due to falsifying the parole request form, we have no choice but to deny your parole. You will be eligible to reapply in two years. You should also consider yourself lucky that we're not charging you with perjury."
"This bites," Joey said angrily, getting up and then storming out with two guards following him.
Joey was cleaning up the leftover food from the cafeteria. When he was done, he rolled the trash can out of the cafeteria and headed for the laundry room.
When he got there, he headed over to the pile of clean laundry. Then he lifted the trash can and dumped the leftover food all over the clean laundry.
"What is the meaning of this?" a prison guard demanded, seeing the mess.
"My parole was denied!" Joey angrily replied.
"That doesn't give you the right to ruin the clean laundry!"
"I wouldn't have done it if my parole was granted!"
"Maybe some time in the hole will be good for you," the guard said.
"Just try it," Joey challenged.
The guard pinned Joey to the wall and handcuffed him. Then he paged for cleanup in the laundry room and escorted Joey out of the room.
A little later, Joey woke up in the hole. He let out a loud scream.
"Where does that guard get off putting me in the hole?" Joey ranted. "I have every right to be angry about my parole being denied!"
Joey started punching the mattress as hard as he could. Eventually, he collapsed on the mattress in defeat and fell asleep.
The End
