Ice Cream

"Jack slow down!" Aaron Hotchner as he ran to catch up. Jack then turned around and shouted " You're too slow dad you'll never catch me!"; and then Jack ran even faster causing Aaron to shake his head as he smiled at the retreating form of his son he then started running in an attempt to catch up. The pair were just coming from the park after having spend the day their just spending some much needed father and son time then saw an ice cream truck and said "Dad can we get ice cream?" Finally catching up to his son and finally able to catch his breath. Aaron first looked at the truck and then at his son who by now had a grin on his face eagerly awaiting his father's approval. "I don't know son what would Lindsay say?" Aaron asked still looking at his son.

Before Jack could even answer a new voice said "What would I say to what?" "LINDSAY!" Jack screamed as he raced at top speed and wrapped his arms around Lindsay's waist. Lindsay couldn't help but hug Jack back."I was just asking dad if we can get some ice cream so can we?" Jack asked earnestly. He was hoping Lindsay would agree however when she looked Aaron and caught his eye he reluctantly agreed even though it was getting close to dinner time. So once Lindsay said "Yes" Jack said as he jumped up and down. He then raced over and hugged Lindsay and thanked her.

Lindsay never seen a young child with so much energy before it just amazed her how he just kept on going and never seemed to burn out. "So when did you come I'd thought we'd see you later?" Aaron said as he licked his ice cream and looked at Lindsay. Lindsay licked her own ice cream before responding "Well Mac was nice enough to let me go a little earlier and plus I sort of figured I'd find you here." "Oh really" Aaron said with a raised eyebrow as he continued to lick his ice cream. This caused Lindsay to laugh out loud at Aaron's antics; and as the sunset behind them the three of them got caught up with Jack doing most of the talking.
