This came to me because of the Hurricane we're supposed to be getting. If it wasn't for the wheather I don't think anything would have been written today. It's not my best work, but writing a Kingdom Hearts short was on my goals list for today
I was woken up by the sound of the rain. It was pouring outside and there was no way I could sleep through the constant pounding of rain drops on the outside of the castle.
So much for sleeping like a log… I thought. Saix had a big mission for me tomorrow. Of course he doesn't know I know that. I seem to walk by at just the right moment when he mentions me to Xemnas.
The sound of the clapping thunder shocked me out of my thoughts. I hate rain, but I hate thunderstorms the most. They're loud and obnoxious and interrupt my sleep.
A knock on my door caused me to sigh. "Yeah?"
My eyes grew wide when I saw it was Roxas and not Saix. "Hey 'ya Roxy." I smiled.
Another clap of thunder had Roxas running toward my bed. "Hey…" He quietly replied.
My smile grew wide when I realized he came to me because he was afraid of the storm.
You don't have feelings, you can't be scared of a thunderstorm. Or anything for that matter.
Of course, Roxas was different.
I could take advantage of the situation…
I unfolded the covers, patting the empty space beside me when he gave me a confused expression. He was reluctant at first, but eventually crawled under the blankets.
I placed an arm around his waist, pulling him into me. He seemed tense.
"Relax." I whispered in his ear.
"Kay…"
I smiled again at his quiet tone. He was easy to miscommunicate with, but I found his tone more adorable than annoying.
"Axel…is the rain going to stop anytime soon?"
"Heh. Doubt it. It doesn't sound like it's going to pass anytime-"
A boom of thunder had Roxas rolling around until his face was covered in my chest.
With my finger, I lifted his chin up and lightly brushed my lips against his.
Maybe this could distract him…
"Axel…"
I didn't know what he was thinking, but if he was angry I figured he would have left already. Instead he lifted his head up just enough to kiss me.
"Can I sleep in here tonight?"
"Well of course." I gave him a smile.
I waited until I knew he was asleep to try and get some rest myself.
Maybe thunderstorms weren't so bad.
