Kurama walked through the park. It was Christmas day, and there was no snow. It was rather wet, actually. All yesterday it rained and rained.
He had a small whim for this day, but he figured that it would never come true.
He continued walking, tightening his peacoat around his thin body.
He held a little parcel in his gloved hands, hoping that maybe someone he was waiting for was there.
He watched as couples kept close to eachother, trying to keep warm.
He felt lonely in the crowd, he stood out in more than just his body.
He kept walking through the crowds, trying to mask his hopelessness.
'He's not here... he's not here...' he kept thinking.
Someone caught him off-guard and he fell over, latching on to a bench. He decided to just sit down and clasp his hands in his lap.
'I don't know why I thought he'd be here... I am so stupid... his ki was here... but he was not...' Kurama sighed as he thought.
He laid back and stared at the sky. 'Stupid... stupid...'
"You have degraded yourself that much?" a deep voice asked.
Kurama laughed. "Guess you can say that..."
"The least you can do is face me, fox," the voice replied.
Kurama looked face-to-face at Hiei. "Oh... my... Hiei!"
Kurama wasn't sure what to do. He was so excited he was confused.
Hiei sat next to him. "Why're you here?"
Kurama blushed. "I thought you were... and so..."
Hiei nodded. "I see."
Kurama's cheeks softened to a pink. "So... ano... Merry Christmas..."
"Whatever that is... you too..."
Kurama laughed. "You never heard of Christmas?"
"No."
"Thought so."
Kurama jingled his little present. "It's a time for people to be together... so I decided to get you something..."
Hiei looked over. "Why?"
"I knew that Yusuke and Kuwabara would never get you anything... they really like you, they just don't like to show it... so I got you something..."
Hiei took the gift and unwrapped it. He opened the white box and pulled at the cotton that covered his gift.
Hiei stared at a silver-chained black dragon. It had ruby eyes and held a red rose.
"What is this for?" Hiei asked.
Kurama smiled. "I told you, Christmas."
"I mean, what does this mean?"
"I... well... I... Hiei..."
"Look, if you love me, you can come straight out."
Kurama's cheeks went red again. "I-I... well...ano..."
Hiei caught him in a kiss, his mouth half open.
"Baka kitsune... you should get things out more easily..." Hiei said as he broke the kiss.
"That'll be my New Years resolution!" Kurama said.
Hiei sweatdropped. "K'so... another Nigen holiday I have to learn about..."
Kurama giggled and hugged Hiei. "Merry Christmas, Hiei! Aishiteru!"
