You spoke of Sephiroth in a similar tone, only I thought I detected something like love in there some times, but I remember the promise you made.
But still…
You really loved him, didn't you?
Is this why you're doing this to yourself, because you broke him in a moment of selfishness?

Did you know Sephiroth came back the year before last?Did you know he tried to destroy the world?
You told us that your mission now was to protect the world from all dangers – to guard the Goddess who gave you another chance…
Why didn't you come back then?
Was it because you knew when it came down to it, you'd never be able to bring yourself to kill him?
You can't try the excuse that you deemed him indestructible, for a boy who never even made it into SOLDIER was the one to save the planet.

Do you really think that this is the only way for you to exist now, or is it all just another elaborately decorated façade for more selfishness?
Did you ever stop to think of the ones you left behind?
The ones who always looked up at you and loved you, did we ever matter to you?
I remember the sweetness of your words; the tenderness in your touch when Weiss and I recovered you.
How you actually looked sorry when you said "No" and how you embraced us afterwards.
I did what you instructed, nothing more exists of your name, but I left you a legacy, because the planet needs to know of you, that you were the first.
