Kinato= Matt & Kinko
Musical Notes
Sweet tunes filled the long corridor of the house. Gentle and breezy, bouncing off the solid garnet walls. The hallway seems to
light up at the touch of the sweet notes.
Matt was walking down the green hallway of his father's house. He had just come back from school, but he knew she had
beaten him home.
His brown boots clicked on the shiny marble floor. Walking past the pictures of his ancestors, he shivered at how empty this
hallway felt. Large, dark oak doors concealed secret passages and rooms that Matt was forbidden to enter.
He shifted his brown leather bag inclosing his Math and History books, each 5000 or more pages. If this hallway doesn't end
soon, I swear I'll collapse!, he thought gloomily.
Staring ahead, as he grew nearer to the last room in the hall, the music grew louder, but still as soothing as before. Pushing open
the door, he stared at the two calm people in the room.
T.K. was scrunched up on the window seat, eyes fixed on his homework, erasing furiously. Papers were crumpled and
discarded all around him. Suddenly he let out a cry of horror and crumpled the current paper in his notebook.
Matt dropped his book bag thankfully on the floor and smiled in a greeting to T.K., which he didn't return.
He turned too the music maker.
Eyes closed, concentrating, the young girl's fingers flew across the flute's holes gracefully. The flute in her hand was made of light
wood with ivy shaped carvings snaking up the slim flute.
Her shoulder length, brown hair sparkled in the beam of sunlight that settled on the girl like an angel.
Sitting very casually on the opposite window seat, her bare legs were crossed. Her red sneakers dangled barley touching the
floor. She wore a jean skirt and a tight black, mid-line shirt.
She stopped the tune, ending with a long, beautiful note. She put down her flute gently, tracing the carvings along it's sides.
Finally, she turned her eyes up to the young, blonde man standing in front of her. Her hunter green eyes sparkled with delight
when she set her eyes on his face.
"Hello, Kinko." he said.
