I was bored, so this story was born! I don't know if this is going to remain a one-shot, but we'll have to see.
Jason's POV
It had been seven years since Leo had sacrificed himself for us. Seven years since any one of the seven had been truly happy. Sure, Annabeth, Percy, and Nico had moved on.
But Piper and I? We were wrecked. The ones worst affected were Frank and Hazel. Oh gods, Hazel.
For days, weeks, months after his death she was broken. Not only had she lost Sammy; Leo's grandfather, but Leo himself. Every night, all anyone could hear were her
tortured screams. Most likely dreams, repeating his death. Oh yes, we were broken. Frank had become miserable; Hazel claimed she was over Leo and all about Frank, but
he felt second best to him. No matter what, he'd always be second best.
So he killed himself.
This only added to Hazel's pain; she became as distant and cold as Nico had once been. For years, we were dying slowly, painfully. Time seemed to slow, days seemed to be
dull. Nobody was happy.
Except maybe when Annabeth and Percy left to New Rome to start a new life. Even Clarisse La Rue managed to be happy for them. We all thought of this as a sign of rebirth
that things would be okay again.
That wasn't true.
After they left, the camp became a sadistic place. Piper tried using charm speak to lighten things up, but she became depressed at the thought too. So four years after Leo's
death, we went out in the real world. For a moment we were happy; I proposed. She said yes. But the day before we were to get married, she got into a car accident. We had
to postpone it. Apparently, she was in a coma. When she woke, she had amnesia. She didn't remember me, she didn't remember she was a demigod. So we lived the rest of
those three years as mortals, although some days she'd question whether or not what she'd seen was a dog or a VERY big dog. I just told her she was tired.
This made me sad. Why all the secrets? We were supposed to be truthful to each other. That was the year Percy and Annabeth returned. So we all took one last stroll down
the beach of Camp Half Blood, with some of our closer friends. Nico and Will. Hazel. The Stoll Brothers. Piper was very confused at it, but didn't let on. We all sat, staring at
the setting sun against the water.
That was when we all saw it. A Bronze dragon was hurtling towards us, with a very familiar rider on the back. There was also another figure there, but it wasn't familiar.
At that point Piper fainted. I would've too, if I hadn't had to move from my spot to avoid getting smashed by the dragon. It landed softly.
And there he was.
Almost the same as he had been the day he.. died? No, he was standing right in front of me. He held his hand down to bring down that second person from Festus. She was a
girl.
"So? Don't just stand there, give Uncle Leo a big hug!" We all rushed towards him, but Hazel and Percy were a little uncertain. I looked over to Percy, but he looked a little
guilty. I only then realized.
"It's her. It's-"
"Calypso." Finished Percy. Calypso only then noticed him there.
"Percy?" She said uncertain.
But we didn't need any drama. We had our friend back. Things would get better. That's when I remembered something Leo used to say; I like machines. At least with them I
can fix them. People, not so much. But that isn't true.
We were broken, and now we are fixed.
Because of him, Leo Valdez.
Hm.. I'm not so sure about it. But it is getting posted! If I should continue this, please tell me. I'd probably like to.
