Holly and Jack Meeting each Other
Jack Frost was just minding his own business, spreading winter for kids all over the world, especially when he was spending time in his hometown, Burgess, with Jamie and his friends. He didn't mess with another holiday ever again, especially after making up with Bunny after they held a forty-four-year grudge on the Blizzard of 1968. Jack kept Jamie and their friends occupied. They were constantly throwing snowballs at each other, and Jack made sure they had back-up.
"Jamie, think fast!" Pippa shouted throwing a snowball at her friend, hitting him on the side of his shoulder. Jack and the other kids continued throwing snow balls at each other. However, Jack froze, the sound of a girl screaming and snow coming from the valley. But Jack knew that scream, it was the warning that all winter spirits gave when they were in trouble. The kids couldn't hear what Jack heard, because they just didn't believe in the spirit yet. They all stopped when they saw snow exploding from the ground.
"What was that?" Jamie wondered.
"I don't know, it didn't look good." said Pippa.
"No, it didn't sound good," Jack corrected. "Someone is in trouble."
"Who, Jack?" Jamie asked.
"A winter spirit, just like me," Jack answered.
He quickly went to the scene, where he saw a young girl on the floor. She was defecting something, what appeared to be a couple of nightmares. Sure, there were less and less malicious ones after Pitch was defeated, but these nightmares were Rogue ones. Naturally, all the other Nightmares hade more or less now helped children overcome their fears rather than feed off of it due to no longer being under Pitch's control. However, these rogue ones didn't want to help children. Some of them turned against the new nature and continued going rogue, called "Fear-mares" feeding off of fear. This girl must have been afraid written across her forehead. She was defecting them with her magic. She was just like Jack, having his white hair and blue eyes (but her hair was an ombre styled with blue tips at the bottom. She was wearing a white mini-skirt, dark blue leggings, and a grey sweater. She looked like she was around ten years old, around Jamie's age. The thing that was different from her was that she wore brown winter boots as well.
Watching the snow and Ice come out of her finger tips, she was defecting them pretty good, but Jack noticed she was limping as she was running away from them
The kids came running in, watching the battle from afar.
"Who is that girl?" Jamie said, watching her fight off them one by one.
"You can see her?" Jack said. Jamie, Caleb, Claude, and Pippa all nodded in agreement. However, the girl tripped again, sitting there hopelessly as the nightmares attacked her.
"Guys, stay here!" Jack yelled.
He hurriedly went to the girl, coming up in front of her. The girl looked up, shocked that someone was helping her. She watched Jack defeat the nightmares one by one. The girl just realized that she was grateful that someone came up in time to help her. However, the girl saw another nightmare coming from behind.
"Look out!" she yelled.
Jack Quickly defected it, the girl watching the Nightmares closing in on them. Suddenly, all the kids came out in front of the girl, and Jack and touched the nightmares, turning them into dreams again. Jack was slightly angry with them because he had told them to stay where they were at. However, the kids saved their lives. Jamie looked at Jack apologetically.
"Sorry, Jack, but we couldn't stand seeing you guys in trouble," said Jamie.
"Nah, its okay kiddo," said Jack. He looked at the girl. "Hey you okay?"
He knelt down to her.
"Uh, I think so," said the Girl. She grimaced. "Thank you, for helping me." She tried moving her leg. She yelled, "Ow!"
Jack looked at her worriedly.
"Hey, kid, what's wrong?"
"My ankle," the girl said. "It hurts. I twisted it. And my leg. I cut my pants and scraped by knee while running from those black, sandy horses."
"Don't you mean Nightmares?" Pippa asked. The girl looked at Pippa.
"Those are what those things called?" the girl said. The kids nodded.
"Wow," said the girl. "You're a girl born between two spirits and don't know half the terms in this world."
"Well, the nightmares split up in two after Pitch was defeated, began calling the rouge ones "Fear-mares" instead." Jack explained. He continued looking at the girl's scrape and her ankle.
"Kiddo, you want to tell me what your name is?" Jack told the younger spirit.
"Holly," the girl said. "I know who you are, Jack Frost right?" Jack nodded. "Yeah that's right."
Holly looked at the kids.
"What are your names?"
"I'm Jamie, this is my sister, Sophie," Jamie said, Sophie giggled.
"Pretty Ice fairy," Sophie said. Holly looked at the little girl. She looked to the blond and formed a drawing of a fairy in the ground and let it fly into the air. It dropped in front of Sophie and gave her a soft tap in the nose. Sophie giggled as the fairy flew up and transformed into snow. The kids looking in awe.
"Wow..." they said. Jack was surprised that she was doing all of this without a staff, but hey, Jack didn't know he could do all those things before, so, guess she didn't use anything to channel her powers like him. Holly continued looking to the other kids.
"I'm Claude, this is my brother, Caleb." Claude said. Caleb was still looking at Holly. She could tell he was infatuated with her, but Holly pointed at the two girls.
"And you're Pippa?" She pointed at Pippa and then at Cupcake. "And you're Cupcake.
"Yeah, it's nice to meet you, Holly," Pippa said.
"I didn't know that there were spirits our ages," said Cupcake. Holly laughed, shaking both their hands.
"Yeah, I'm actually considered a child by Spirit and human standards."
"What happened to you out there, Holly?" Jack asked her. Holly said nothing, she just didn't want to talk about it.
The girl looked up.
"I saw you guys playing some snowball fights, but I thought you wouldn't see me if I went up there," said the Girl. "Then, those Nightmare things came and attacked me. I ran and…well, you saw the rest."
"How long have you been out here?" Jack asked her.
"Ever since my daddy and I got separated, I've been on my own," she answered. She winced and groaned at the pain. Jack looked. "I need medical attention."
"Take your boot off," Jack said. Holly looked at him strangely before realizing what he meant. She quickly shoved her silver boot off and lifted up her legging. Jack saw her injury.
"I made a terrible landing, I guess," said Holly.
"Okay, I know exactly where to take you," Jack said. He got up.
"Where?"
"The North Pole."
"You don't mean where the Guardians meet, do you? North's workshop."
"Wait, you know North."
"Yeah, I met back him back in 1992. North let me stay at his workshop for a while I recovered. Offered me a place to stay, but I told him I had to go out on my own. He was sad to see me go.
"Well, it'll be easier for you, than me," Jack said. Holly was going to ask what he meant by that but decided not to. She was scared of going back. She broke her friends' heart back at the North Pole.
"But I'm scared..." Holly said.
"You don't have to be scared with Jack," Jamie said. His friends said "yes" in agreement.
"No, it's not that. I'm scared of going back up into the air, especially after what happened last time. "
"Well, I won't drop you, I promise," Jack said.
"Okay," Holly said. She just wanted to get her injured leg looked at, and then she was going to be out of there. Jack knew how to handle injured children. His younger sister used to get that sort of thing when she hurt herself. Jack allowed her on his back.
"Get well soon, Holly," said the kids.
"Yeah, maybe you'll hang out with us one day," said Jamie. Holly never had friends before, but she could spare a few.
"Okay, I will," Holly said.
"Hang on tight, kiddo," Jack said, holding onto her tightly as they made their way to the pole.
