"Deeks?"…."Deeks are you awake?"…."Deeks are you awake?"
"Mmmmm…."
"Are you awake?"
"Grmmph…"
"Marty…"
"Wha…?"
"Wake up," Kensi shoved him.
"Mm sleeping," he rolled away from her.
"Deeeeeeks," she growled. "Wake up!"
"Wha's wrong?" he moaned. "Sick?"
"No, I'm not sick. I can't sleep." She pushed up onto her elbow and toyed with his curls.
"Go 'way."
"Deeks. I'm bored. Wake up!"
He let out a loud groan and rolled onto his back, eyes still closed. "I told you not to have coffee at dinner."
"Caffeine isn't a problem for me."
"Then why are you awake?"
She frowned and then reached up, turning on the light.
Deeks moaned in protest. "I hate you."
"Nope," she leaned in and kissed his lips. "You love me. You said so."
"I take it back."
"Too late! No backsies. Entertain me."
"Do you really not care that it's…" he squinted at the clock, "2:37am? We have to be up in like three hours."
"I'm awake now," Kensi whined.
"Yeah, because you didn't listen to me. Why am I being punished for your choices?"
"Because you love me," she said with a grin, pressing a kiss to his neck.
"You keep saying that but I can't really say I'm feeling it right now," he grumbled, eyes still closed, as her kisses moved to his chest.
"Deeks," she sighed. "You're no fun."
"Me? Oh, I'm extremely fun. From the hours of nine am to ten pm on weekdays and until midnight on the weekend," he told her.
She tried not to smile. "You're not funny."
"I am. I am funny," he opened his eyes and grinned at her. "I'm hilarious. If you didn't want my hilarity you shouldn't have woken me up."
"I regret nothing." She pressed another kiss to his chest. "Deeks."
"What?"
"Deeks."
"What?!"
"Entertain me."
"I don't want to entertain you. I want to sleep."
"No you don't," she insisted, tickling his ear.
"Ah! Geez! Stop that!"
"You're having fun. Admit it!" she demanded.
"No, I'm not," he told her, but he couldn't suppress the grin spreading across his face.
"Tell me you love me."
"No. I will tell you in the morning."
"It is morning. Tell me now." She poked him hard in the ribs.
"Ah! Okay! I love you!"
"Say it like you mean it!" She poked him again.
"All right! All right!" he took a breath. "Everyday I love you more and more. Listen to my heart, can you hear it sing? Telling me to give you everything. Seasons may change, winter to spring. But I love you until the end of time. Come what may. I will love you until my dying day."
She whacked him with a pillow. "That's from Moulin Rouge!"
"It's all I could come up with on short notice!" he cried as she whacked him again. "Ah! Uncle!"
"You're lucky I don't feel like getting dressed or I'd leave you," she told him as she slid off the bed.
"Wait!" he caught her arm. "Where are you going?"
"To find Monty! At least he knows how to express his feelings!"
"Just…come back here," he pulled her back down to the bed and kissed her soundly. "I do love you. Until my dying day."
Kensi bit her lip and smiled. "You know, when I see your face, there's not a thing that I would change. 'Cause you're amazing. Just the way you are."
"Are you Bruno Mars-ing me right now?" Deeks asked.
"It seemed appropriate." She entwined her fingers with his. "I love you too."
"Enough to let me go back to sleep?" he asked hopefully.
Kensi slid back in next to him and turned off the light. "Goodnight Ewan McGregor."
"Goodnight Bruno."
