Betrayal

Sasuke said that Naruto could never understand his pain, but as Naruto's blood flows down the arm which punctures his chest he beleives they are even more alike then before. Poem.

Betrayal

So maybe I died that day,

But maybe I didn't.

Perhaps from that cold wet betrayal,

I was reborn

Into someone who wouldn't give you up.

No family,

You said.

Could never understand that kind of betrayal,

You said.

Standing there with your hand through my chest,

Hand at my throat,

You're not coming back.

But maybe one day I will find you and make you realize,

So maybe you too will be reborn

Into someone who understood why.

It always really hit me in the gut when Sasuke said that Naruto couldn't understand what it felt like to lose precious people or be betrayed by them. I think that Sasuke was Naruto's most precious person and he betrayed him just like Itachi did.
