Diary of a Hopeless Pre-Teen

Dear diary,

Today was better then usual. My parents aren't fighting as much and I've lost 5 pounds! Boys have stopped bullying me for now. Brady looked at me today. It felt nice to know that he knows who I am. I wonder if he'll ever talk to me. My head is very jumbled and I wish that I knew which road to go on. I wish I was like my sister, Tara. She's so skinny and pretty. I'll never be as perfect as her….

Klara closed her diary and sucked in her stomach. She looked in the mirror frowning. Why was she so fat? 200 lbs! At 12…. She often wondered it her parents would love her more if she was pretty. Her parents loved Tara, so why didn't they love her? Tara had everything a girl could want. A pretty face, a slim body, an awesome boyfriend, she was smart and good at sports. She was perfect. Klara walked out of her room, picking up her cell phone. She looked at her text messages. About 5 of them were from random numbers, calling her fat and ugly. She felt like throwing the phone out the window, and shouting, "LEAVE ME ALONE!" But she just put the phone down and walked downstairs. Tara was sitting with her boyfriend on the couch watching a TV show. Tara brightened up and said softly, "Come join us!" But her boyfriend, Tom, gave her a scary glance with and icey smile. She sat down next to her sister, scooting as far as possible. Tara flinched, and then got up, saying "Bathroom! Be right back!" And ran up the stairs. Tom scooted closer to Klara slowly and steadily. Klara flinched, staring at the TV. Tom's hand slowly slided over to Klara's hand, then to her thigh. Klara jumped up and said softly, "I need some water!!!" Then she ran to the kitchen, trying to avoid Tom. Tom got up, standing in the corner of the kitchen. He was staring Klara up and down, taking in all her curves. Klara's hands shook. Why was Tom acting so weird around her? She dropped the glass of water and cursed under her breath. Tom came up in front of her and picked up the shards. She stood up and dropped the shards in the garbage, washing her hands. When she turned, Tom was in front of her, a weird look in his eyes. She stepped to the side, walking out of the kitchen. Tom followed her close behind, breathing into her neck softly. His hand came around and softly touched her thigh. She let out a soft, "Oh!" then walked faster, trembling. Tara came down the stairs just in time and grabbed Tom and Klara's hand, moving them to the couch. Klara looked at the screen admiringly. "She's so pretty!" She breathed softly. Tara chuckled and said, "She looks like you!" Klara flinched and whined, "Don't insult her like that!" Tom laughed and said in his low, smooth tone, "You're very pretty, Klara!" Tara nodded in agreement. Klara almost blushed, hiding her face with her long, black, wavy hair. Tom smiled and brushed it out of her face, "Don't hide such a pretty face!" Klara jumped up again, saying quickly, "I forgot to do my math homework!!!!" She was about to run upstairs and drown out everything in Metallica, but Tom murmured softly, "I can help you, I'm in advanced math!" Klara flinched and muttered under her breath, "Of course!" Tom followed her up to her room and sat on her bed. Klara took out her math homework and realized she had finished it in school. "I think I've finished it in school…Hehehehe…" Tom smirked and said softly, "Oh…Well then lets just talk about…stuff." Klara flinched as Tom got up and knealed down next to her, looking into her eyes. Klara blushed and looked away. "No need to be afraid…." He turned her face to look at him and softly planted his lips on hers.
