"Leia…" Han said, a nervous look on his face. He was excited to be able to see her full form again. But even though the hibernation sickness had worn off, he still felt uneasy. It wasn't the same uneasiness he knew she felt. She had been expressing this whole time how much she distrusted Lando.
"Han, I told you. We're here now, we can't get out of this. You came here to talk to your friend, and-" she was silenced by a light kiss from her other half.
"Leia, it isn't that…" he replied when he broke away from her lips. The brightly lit room that was to be their quarters in Cloud City only made it easier for Leia to read her partner's worried looks.
She looked increasingly concerned. "What is it? What's bothering you?" She asked, placing a hand on his chest.
"When I was in carbonite," he began, wincing at the last word of the phrase, "I had this dream… Maybe a series of dreams, I'm not sure. But… It felt so real, Leia, and I can't get over it. It's almost haunting." He was staring off into the distance, recalling his dream.
Leia looked at him with an expression that urged him to elaborate. So he did. "Well… It all took place on this planet called Earth." He stated.
"Earth? What system is that?" Leia inquired. She had never heard of the planet before, and it was rare that she hadn't heard of a place, given her status.
"It's nowhere near here… It's in a different galaxy, I think." He continued to stare at the baseboards of the beautiful room. "And I don't know why, but I get the feeling that it was in the future, even though the planet was fairly technologically primitive." He looked up to inspect Leia's face, and found her brows furrowed, and her eyes lit with intrigue. He continued. "Well, I was me, but I went by a very different name."
"A different name? What was it?" Leia asked, almost as a child being read a story would.
"Indiana Jones," Han replied.
"Indiana Jones? What kind of silly name is that?" Leia snorted at the strange name. She took the whole matter as funny, whereas Han seemed genuinely concerned with his mental health. "I'm sorry, Han. I didn't mean it," she stated after seeing the hurt look on his face. "Please tell me more?" She asked, kissing his forehead.
"I was something called an archaeologist. I got into a lot of trouble stealing things from people who didn't need them," he said. He could tell what Leia was thinking: just like the Han I know. "Leia, I don't know what it is but I can't shake the feeling that I'm Indiana Jones. It was so… So realistic. I felt pain, felt emotions, felt-" He gulped before he could finish his sentence. He could feel Leia looking at him intently, and knew he had to finish his thought. "Felt the women I bedded."
Leia laughed out loud. "So you're cheating on me in your dreams, now? Get it where ya can, Flyboy. C'mon, I'm hungry. Let's go get something to eat."
Han knew it was no use explaining any more to his girlfriend. She would just dismiss his thoughts as fantasy. But he knew that it was more than a dream, more than a fantasy. He knew it was real. He knew he was Indiana Jones.
