One of the Feared ~ By Crimson Sun

~

Too easy to penetrate, o foolish one, the mind that labored too hard to protect itself

Trembles now instead at every touch.

Overworked, exhausted, weary,

In need of the heavy, scented blanket

Only oblivion can provide.

~

Sleep, o ignorant one, let all defenses slide like the stream over a pebble.

I am the water; let me shape your thoughts

Surrounding them with my own.

And when the current swims swifter

It will sweep you into turmoil

But will always keep you in sight of conscience.

~

This is it, o confident one; the moon is not the romantic harvest

But an eclipse, of both light and power.

Fall now, fall and bend to my will,

Call it darkness, whatever you may,

But when the crescent returns

You will avert your eyes from it.

~

Such as your fate, o defiant one, to challenge the faceless, invincible unknown.

All humans dread it; there is a reason.

Only pain lies beneath the truth.

~

For, o fallen one

This is the price you pay

For trying to change the work of ways.

Now awake

And find yourself

One of the nameless.

~

A monster? Call it what you want.

You are only

One of the feared that fears itself.

~

AN: A weird poem no doubt. But oh how I love these Vincent and Hojo combinations. This is basically when Vincent was undergoing that infamous operation that changed him into a 'monster'. This is Hojo's point of view on the subject.

I was quite alarmed to realize I had not written anything for Vincent in quite a while. Hojo has been keeping me occupied.
