Everyone seemed to expect the two of them to fall in love. Except maybe the two of them.
Or maybe even Tohru was expecting it on some level. Maybe that was why she couldn't see what was right in front of her face. How she was falling for Kyo. How Kyo loved her back. How Yuki loved her like family, like a mother, and not in a romantic sense at all…
And that was perfectly fair, considering he hadn't accepted it himself until just a short while ago. Maybe he'd been hoping they'd fall in love and be the perfect little couple together too. Or rather, that she'd stay as perfect as she as, as she'd always been, and hold his perfect self together.
But that was before. Now he knew his heart and where he was attracted to and how he felt about Tohru and people still expected the two of them to become an item. The hottest item in the Sohma family.
But Yuki knew that wouldn't be happening. Tohma and Kyo were a pair. And he had his pair with someone else.
