Rachel would have fought Raphael's intention to bring about Armageddon if she'd had to fight alone. Her initial outrage settled to obdurate determination to see right done. But to assist a Heavenly army in the world she needed a human vessel, an earthen chiminea for her celestial energy.
The vessel fell to her knees when Rachel approached. Lynn wore a pentacle on a chain and believed in angels almost more than God, which shocked Rachel. But, like Rachel, Lynn was overjoyed to be useful. The angel didn't care for jewelry, but she kept the pentacle in her pocket in appreciation.
