I do not own Inkheart or any of it's characters. I own Maddy, Katie, and .

Katie's POV

I knew I had the gift but I did not know how dangerous it was and plus I had it in a different form. I have brown hair that goes just past my shoulders, blue eyes like a pool and pale skin. I am 18.

It all started with one story. That's right just one. I was writing about about a girl named Maddy and well I accidentally described a living person but the worst part of all was that I granted her the gift that can not be obtained anywhere else besides genetics.

Well who ever said that they are terriably wrong.

Maddy's POV

"Maddy it is your turn to read." said

" were are we" I asked

"Well Maddy if you were paying attention you should know were we are."

I quickly looked over to my neighbors book, she pointed to the third paragraph

"Mathew please read for us."

Before Mathew could start reading I started.

"As she walked down the path she looked toward the right and saw lots of tomato bushes and on the left were Apple trees. She was amazed be the huge quantities and she walked over to an apple tree......"

But before I could finish reading a loud thud enterupted the class. When I looked up I saw a huge apple tree in the middle of the room covered with lots of bright green apples.

I looked toward he looked toward me. The expression on his face showed shock.

After school I ran to the school bus and got there just in the nick of time. I took a seat in the back row.

I have red hair that is straight and is just a few inches from the middle of my back. I have brown eyes with a little Topaz in them. My skin is very pale but my cheeks are naturally rosy red. I am 18.

I looked out the window. I hated living in the forest of England. I watched all the other kids leave the school bus when their house came into view. Some left in pairs or trios and some just single. As always I waited for an hour until I was the last one. I got out of the bus and ran into my house.

My parents werent home yet so I made my self a peanut butter and jelly sandwitch then went to my room.

I walked straight over to my book shelf and took out a book. Inkheart. I had been fearing what I would find in this book but with all the guts I built up in school I opened the page to the genre. It said realistic fiction.

"I wonder how people could have missed that? Mabye they thought it was a joke." I mumbled

Then I went over to my bed and decided I needed to take a nap.
