I've had my eyes on you
Since the first time I saw you.
Your eyes
Your smile
Your innocence
Everything about you
Made me fall for you.
But even though
I feel that way for you
I'm quite aware
Of the cold and
Frozen truth
That your love
Would never be mine
To be.
That your eyes will
Never see me
That your smile will
Never shine for me
That your heart
Will never
Hold me.
My tears and cries
Whenever you're in pain
Will forever be in vain
For you cannot see me
Hear me
Nor ever know of
My existence.
You belong in your world
I belong in mine
These two worlds
Will never meet
Though as one
Their hearts do beat.
I know
That everything
I long for
Will never be mine
To claim
