The moment Sting had done his little trick, not as a show off, but just for fun, the little girl had been all gaga over Sting. So much so that Yukino just had to look up from the girl's gossip session from the far other side of the guild to see what was happening.
"Sting," Sting's head dropped down to see Asuka, the daughter of Bisca and Alzack, looking at Sting with all sparkles in her eyes.
"Can you do that again?" She asked cutely.
"You mean this?" Sting held his index finger in the air and bursts of sparkling light twinkled and fell to the ground like a shooting star.
"Wow!" Asuka clapped in pure happiness. "So pretty!"
Sting seemed surprised for a moment, but immediately grinned like he would.
"Do you like it?" He asked.
"Yes yes! I love it!" Asuka nodded eagerly.
Sting's grin seemed to widen even more.
"Okay then! How about this?"
Sting held two of his fingers up and the light, this time appeared as stars and fell to the ground like real comets. Just tiny in size. Asuka was so excited that she stretched her arms out to catch them. Even Yukino was awestruck. She had no idea that Sting had cute little tricks in his pocket.
"So pretty! I wanna catch them!" She squealed excitedly, hoping on her small two feet.
"What will you do with it if you catch one?" Sting asked.
"I will keep it in my treasure box at home so I can see it whenever I want!" Asuka said proudly. "If only I can catch one…"
Sting seemed thoughtful. Then an imaginary bulb glowed on his head as he got an idea.
"Wait here, I'll be back!" Yukino's curious eyes followed the grinning Sting as he ran to the bar and talked to Mirajane.
After a while Sting came back grinning with his hands at the back.
He said, "Tada! This is for Asuka!" And brought his hands in front.
In his hand was a bottle, but not an ordinary one. Yukino looked closely and saw that there were plenty of strings attached from the top to the bottom inside the bottle. Yukino's eyes caught a drop of sparkle from it. When Sting tapped the bottle lightly, several beams of star-shaped light twinkled and trailed the string, then fell to the bottom of the bottle and dispersed into smaller bits of stars.
Sting bent down and handed Asuka the bottle.
"I made this with the help of my magic. If you tap it lightly, you'll see falling stars. This way you can see the stars anytime that you want!" He grinned. "And it will remain like that until Asuka grows up into a pretty lady," Sting winked playfully.
Asuka looked more than delighted. "Sting, thank you!"
She tackled him to a hug and Sting happily obliged.
Yukino's lips turned upwards into a big smile. She never knew that Sting was good with children. It was probably because of his playful and affectionate side. It added so much to his charms, Yukino found him even more irresistible.
As if he wasn't enough attractive already.
