I'm Nightfall. I am not a very normal dragon. First off, I have a few powers others don't. I can teleport. Shield anyone from harm, I'm an animus, mind reader and future seer. My seeing is the most advanced in the continents. Even more powerful than Clearsight's future seeing. I actually have a necklace shaped like a dragon that helps contain my powers.
My parents are both dead. My father, Sleet, an IceWing and NightWing hybrid, killed my mother, LightBeam, a RainWing and HiveWing hybrid, when I was a year old. It turns out he was being controlled by a crime lord/boss named Darkstalker, who is my Grandfather. OK, now the main part of my story. I am an assassin. I assassinate people who work for crime lords, like Darkstalker. My age is eleven, but I'm actually, like 100 years old. When I was about to die, I was but in a temple, of sorts, and healed there for a century. Now I'll get into my actual story. And for that, I will start at the very beginning.

Ten Years Ago… Third Person POV... Screaming. That was the only thing Nightfall could hear. Screaming from both dragons. He decided to get a cup of water quickly. He sat up pulled of his covers, and got out of bed. He slowly opened the door, until he could easily slip out of the room. He walked down the stairs, until the scream got louder. He went back into the room quickly and got his voice recorder. Ten he went back downstairs after he turned it on. Once he got to the kitchen, Nightfall climbed onto the counter and opened a cabinet, got a plastic cup with little sleeping dragons on it. He went up to the sink and turned it on and filled the cup. The yelling stopped, and Nightfall could hear the clawsteps coming closer. He turned of the sink and went to leave, but in his way was two big colorful claws. It was just his mother.
"What are you doing?" She asked, looking at the cup in his claws.
"Getting water," Nightfall answered honestly.
"OK, but please go back upstairs, before your father gets to mad." Mother said.
Too late. He suddenly heard the thought from the dining area.
"What are you doing?" Nightfall heard a stern voice from the doorway.
"Water," He answered his father.
"Go to bed, now." Father said the last word like he would hurt him if he didn't.
He started up the stairs when he heard a metal sliding across metal, sound.
Screech…
Then, Nightfall heard a thump.
No, it did not just happen, right now! I'm only a year old. Why would he just ruin my dragonethood like that? He thought. When Nightfall turned around, it was true, the thing he was having nightmares about for a month. Mother was on the ground, a pool of blood around her. "Try something like that again, and I'll kill you as well." He father said, almost as if he was going insane, but Nightfall was already upstairs and grabbing his mobile phone. He put in three numbers.
"Nine-one-one, whats your emergency?" The responder said,
"My father just stabbed and killed my mother!" He said hushley.
"OK, we are sending a few officers to your property."
"Thank you," he whispered. As the police got here Father started up the stairs.
"Why you little sh—" He never got to finish the sentence when a hole suddenly appeared in his forehead. He was dead. "Hello?" Called on of the officers,
"Is he gone?" Nightfall answered.
"Yes, he is gone, you can come out now."
Nightfall slowly opened the door, and stepped carefully Dow the stairs. He looked at the officers with big round eyes, looking back and fourth between the two police dragons.
"I'm Officer Flameburst, and this is Officer Firetail, we are here to help you, what's your name?" One of the officers said. "Nightfall," "Well Nightfall, if you come with us we can get you to a safe place for you." Firetail said.
At least I hope we can. He thought.
"OK." Was all Nightfall had to say to that be fore they were heading to the police department. As they pulled up, the officers had Nightfall put into the lobby until they could find a good adopting family for Nightfall. As they had Nightfall fill out paperwork about why his father might kill his mother, Nightfall showed the officers his voice recorder still recording. He turned it off and started playing it to the deputy's. "Hey, buddy, can we please barrow this, it is for evidence, to prove that your father did this," Flameburst said, as he reached to grab at the recorder.
"As long as I get it back." Nightfall answers Flameburst, giving him the voice recorder.
"Thanks, Firetail will start processing the recorded voices into a computer, and I'm going to look up a good adoption family for you, OK?"
"OK," Nightfall answered still shocked and feeling horrible from the murder. An hour later, Firetail came back with his voice recorder, gave it to Nightfall and left. Flameburst had found two foster familys for Nightfall to pick from. "Your options are either two SkyWings in Possibility, or the RainWing queen and a NightWing, so which do you choose, Nightfall?" He said.
"The second one."
"Royalty, eh? Why them?"
"Because the NightWing named Deathbringer might be able to help me with what I'm going through, not because they are royalty," Nightfall answered. "OK, I'll send them an email saying that they might be able to adopt you, does that sound good?"
"Yes," Nightfall answered.
After about ten minutes, they got an email back saying that they would be there shortly. "Be calm, you want them to like you so be nice and have manners, you know I was adopted from my home when I was young too, I never met my parents. So take my advice, 'cause it might help you," Flameburst said to Nightfall. "OK," Nightfall said back, "first impressions matter a lot."
At that moment the Queen Glory and Deathbringer came into the station. "Is this him?" She ask nicely.
"Yes your majesty, this is Nightfall," Flameburst said. "Hello," Deathbringer and Glory said, "nice to meet you, Nightfall." "H-hello y-your majesty," Nightfall said while bowing.
"Oh there is no need for calling me that, if your going to be my son, Nightfall." Glory said.
"I-I'm s-sorry," Nightfall said quietly. "Your majesty, if you are going to adopt him you will have to sign these papers, please," Flameburst said quickly, before the awkwardness go to high. "Yes, yes, of course," She said, as Deathbringer was looking like he was studying every scale on Nightfall's body. It made him shiver. After Glory signed the paper, Nightfall was free to go with the queen. When they started walking to the queen's car, sh asked him if he had any belongings that he had to get.
"No, I have all of my stuff in this bag here," Nightfall answered her.
"OK, let's get back to the palace, before Starburst realizes that we are gone," Glory said, "oh! Yes, by the way you now have a sister now, named Starburst."
"OK," Nightfall said droopily, because he was tired.
"Oh! Deathbringer, go quicker he falling asleep," Glory said to Deathbringer.
"It is 3:00 AM after all Glory, he is probably still in shock, scared and nervous right now. Those all are reasons to be tired." Deathbringer said back to Glory.
30 Minutes Later…

We're here, Nightfall," Glory said from the front of the car, "time to meet your new sister. Starburst!"
Glory shouted that last word out into the great palace, then a very tired looking RainWing/ NightWing hybrid came out.
"Yes, Mother?" She said.
"Meet your new brother! Aren't you excited? This going to be so much fun!" Glory said to Starburst.
"Hey, what's your name?" She looked only a few months older than Nightfall, but probably a lot more mature than him.
"N-Nightfall," he answered her.
"That's a nice name, I'm pretty sure you know my name already, but my name is Starburst."
"Th-thanks," he said really quietly.
"Here let me take you to your room, Nightfall," Deathbringer said suddenly.
"Go on," Glory said nicely.
Nightfall followed Deathbringer until he stopped at a door decorated with blue. My favorite color. Nightfall thought.
Deathbringer put a key into the handle, then twisted the knob until the door opened. He walked inside. Nightfall went in after him. "If you need anything, ask one of the servants here, and they will help, if you wake up early, you can explore the palace. Now goodnight," Deathbringer said to Nightfall.
"OK," Nightfall said.
"Here is the key if you want to lock the door,"
"Thank you,"
"'Night,"
"G'night,"
Deathbringer left the room and closed the door behind him.
Nightfall layed down and fell asleep before his head hit the pillow.

Was that a good beginning? I can never tell by looking at it. Btw, I know this was a short chapter, I plan on making longer chapters, but this is really just a prologue, so I did not put to much. Please review if I should be doing anything different, that would be very appreciated. For this story, I plan on having sort of different books/stories because this story is so long it would end up with like a hundred chapters, so I'll have multiple stories for this one story. Thx for reading and I will see you in the next chapter!
