Ah, Bower Lake. Theresa's milky white eyes scanned over the tranquil water, barely a ripple in sight. The lake looked almost like glass, reflecting the sunrise- under hero hill, it was a deep, blue, and at the edge by the shore, a pastel pink mixed with bright orange. Flecks of light sparkled, bringing an occasional smile to the old woman's lips.
She had always found peace, looking over from the bridge at the top of the gypsy camp. It gave her time to reflect on the past or even the future. But her focus was interrupted by the two young pupils she had rescued from BowerStone Old Town. Only because they had hero blood. And they were so obnoxious. Too much energy.
"Control your bloody mutt!"
Theresa frowned and sighed to remain her composure.
"It's your dog too, Robin." The girl replied, sticking her tongue out, and lightly petting the creature's fur. It intimidated her the first time she saw it, admittedly. Rarely anything does these days. But the dog was strong and sturdy, with healthy brown shaggy hair and folded ears. His slobbery tongue hung out of his mouth as he panted and looked up hopefully at his two owners.
"Whatever, this wouldn't be a thing if you'd control him!" Robin spat, crossing his little arms. Robin was about 8 years old as well as his sister. He had messy brownish-red hair and deep blue eyes.
"Well if it wasn't for you feeding him those herbs-" Sparrow, his sister, spat, putting her hands on her hips.
"That was a salve⦠he was hurt!"
"A salve is put on the wound, Robin." Her hair was coerced into a tight braid Theresa had done for her earlier that day. It was also reddish and her blue eyes pierced anyone that looked into him. Yet, her freckles sent out a childish vibe.
"Enough." Theresa calmly walked over to the quarreling twins.
"You are both correct. But you must cease fighting," The seer took a second to think of an excuse for them to not give her a headache.
"If you go too far one will kill the other. And that will not help in Lucien's downfall."
Each muttered a 'sorry.' And walked off in different directions.
