They had been at the pumpkin patch for over an hour, and Rachel could still not find the pumpkin that she wanted. Finn held up at least a dozen different ones, and she still shook her head no. He had found his nearly right away, and had it sitting off the side.
"I know little pumpkin, I'm ready to move on too." He said quietly to his pumpkin, getting a playful glare from Rachel, whom had overheard.
"I thought I was your little pumpkin." She teased, lifting a medium sized pumpkin up in front of her, before setting it back down.
"You are, but this is technically a real little pumpkin, so no need to get jealous." He winked, sitting down on a hay barrel by the entrance. "What is the criteria you are looking for anyways? Each one you have picked up has looked fine to me." She sighed and rolled her eyes at him, picking up one that seemed promising and walked over by his pumpkin. She set it on top, and smiled that it stay put. She clapped and stood to the side.
"Ta-dah!" She waved her hands with a flourish. Her pumpkin was the perfect size, with the perfect bottom to sit on top of his pumpkin. "Big pumpkin and little pumpkin!" He was a bit speechless that her whole search was based on making sure their pumpkins fit and matched perfectly. It looked like a picture from a magazine. He was a bit moved, and had to clear his throat.
"Aw….pumpkin." He walked towards her.
"Me, or your pumpkin?" She giggled, holding out her arms for him.
"You, baby." He kissed her cold nose, and squeezed her in a tight embrace before leaning down and picking up each pumpkin under his arms."Ready?"
"Ready." She nodded, content.
