A.N3 Sirius was never killed at the department of mysteries

The department of mysteries brought Voldemort to a painful end. Delphine Potter took out Voldemort for good and caused several death eaters to earn the kiss. Sirius was given a trial and declared innocent. He immediately took custody of Delphine because unlike the idiots of the Order of the Phoenix, he knew Petunia and Vernon were abusing her.

When Sirius learned all of what happened, including Umbridge who tortured his goddaughter, Sirius decided to withdraw Delphine from Hogwarts. She would get a fresh start in France at Beauxbattons. Remus had a job as a researcher for Zonko's French rivals. France has laws friendlier for magical creatures. The downside is it lead to Remus and Tonks breaking up.

Moving to France was the best thing that could have happened and Delphine thrived at Beauxbattons. Sirius found out that Delphine did not want to be an Auror.

"Sirius, it felt like Professor McGonagall was steering me that way because Dad was an Auror."

Sirius took a deep breath because he was relieved Delphine did not want to be an Auror.

"Delphine, I am glad you don't want to be an Auror. Frankly, Minnie did you a disservice by allowing Care of Magical Creatures. That's why you took Magical Law as your new elective since you were already in Arithmancy?"

"Yes, I want to be a barrister. I wanted that since before I started at Hogwarts."

Sirius was pleased with his goddaughter's decision. He did not tell his goddaughter about the row he had with Albus over his decision to withdraw Delphine from Hogwarts.

While Delphine was having a good sixth year and she could play quidditch at Beauxbattons, Hermione and Ron were having the worst school year of all time. They had lost the popularity they had thanks to Delphine. Even Malfoy was higher up in the social hierarchy and he lost his prefect badge as well as having his father receiving the kiss. Gryffindor has yet to win a game this year. The seeker they have is horrible compared to Delphine.

"This is all Delphine's fault…"

Hermione glared at Ron. "No, this is not. We used her Ron and now we are reaping what we have sewn. We have treated her horribly and after everything that has happened, do you honestly blame Sirius for pulling Delphine out of Hogwarts? When it comes to quidditch, a team can lose the game even if they catch the snitch. I also know about you shagging Lavender, Ron. We are done."

Adrian Pucey had heard what was being said by Granger and Weasel and smirked. He knew Delphine is at Beauxbattons. His father had submitted a marriage contract for Delphine and unlike the rest of the wankers in his house, he stood a chance. That was because no one in his family were pureblood supremacists or death eaters or even supported Voldemort. He had fancied Delphine for a long time and given the house rivalries, she never would have given him the chance. He had nearly hurled when she showed up to the Yule Ball on the arm of McLaggen.

By December, Sirius had received over three dozen contract offers for Delphine. He had known that James was looking at potential suitors for Delphine. The reason is that James had a suspicion Delphine might be the last of the Potters. He did not want just anyone to absorb the Potter line.

Sirius eliminated suitors who came from families with known ties to supporting Voldemort, known pure-blood supremacist families and any who would be gold and title seeking. Then he came across one from Thomas Pucey. He was a member of the first Order of the Phoenix. They Puceys are known for being in all four houses. Financially and title wise, they were in the same league as the Potter family. Their son Adrian was only a year older than Delphine.

He decided to have a meeting with Thomas and his wife Emmaline. Delphine would be coming home on break in two weeks and it might be wise to introduce Delphine and Adrian over Yule break. It turned out that Thomas and Emmaline would be coming to Parris to do some Yule shopping in two days. He would have them at Black Chateau.

When the Puceys arrived, Emmaline had a question. "So is Delphine more like Lily or James?"

"Hello to you Emmaline. Delphine is just like Lily and she has her mother's temper. She will keep Adrian on his toes."

The woman laughed as the house elf poured drinks. That was when Thomas explained something else. "Sirius, James and Lily were going to sign a contract for Delphine and Adrian. It would have been finalized November 2, 1981. Adrian was upset when Delphine showed up to the Yule ball with McLaggen. He has fancied her and it has been that way for a while now."

Sirius read the proposal from James and Lily. In it, Delphine would marry Adrian after she turns twenty-one. She would be able to attend school to become a solicitor and do her legal apprenticeship. She would maintain control of the Potter seats. The Puceys did want all children to attend Hogwarts unless there was some severe problem. Children would be required but there was no timeline.

"Minnie would not allow Delphine to bring a date outside of Gryffindor. She would have had to turn down Adrian. Delphine most likely has been ignoring Adrian's very existence since she started at Hogwarts. I do need to talk with Delphine when she comes home on break in two weeks but the Yule break would be the perfect opportunity to introduce Adrian and Delphine together before signing anything."

Thomas agreed as did Emmaline. "What about New Years Eve? We do not have any parties at Pucey Hall on New Years. What does Delphine want to after graduation."

Emmaline may be pureblood nobility but even she works. She is against forcing women to give up their careers once children come. She has been the head pediatric healer at St. Mungo's for years now.

"She wants to be a barrister. Apparently, Minnie was trying to force her into being an Auror because James was one."

Thomas and Emmaline were not surprised that Minerva did that. Like many, most saw Delphine as her parents.

At Hogwarts, Adrian received good news. His parents had met with Lord Sirius Black. He would have a chance with Delphine during Yule break before anything becomes signed. He heard Malfoy bragging in the common room how his mother had sent in a contract for Delphine which will make him the new Lord Black and Lord Potter as well. He decided to give Malfoy hell.

"Malfoy, why the bloody hell would Lord Black sign off on arrangement between you and Potter? You have made her life a living hell for five years and you have repeatedly insulted her late parents, not to mention I do not believe Lord Black wants his goddaughter having a father-in-law who is a death eater."

The entire Slytherin common room burst into laughter. Bletchley calmed down first. "The ponce had no one fooled. Pucey, how much chaos do you want to inflict on the Gryffs before break?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I figured out how to get a muggle tape recorder to work in Hogwarts. I have Granger and Weasel talking about how they were using Potter for social climbing and Granger admitting that she was given prefect out of political correctness."

Miles Bletchley played the tape recording and it sounded like it came from the library.

"Considering how many people despise the two of them, we broadcast it during the Yule feast before the break. I think a sound projecting charm in the Great Hall would be a great place to do it. The Gryffindorks are getting what is coming to them. They are virtue signaling hypocrites."

"My sentiments exactly Ades. Now, this is no Weasley twins prank it will cause just as much chaos. I am thinking if we have anyone in Slytherin take the fall, make it Malfoy. He has had the longest feud with the golden trio and will be the most likely suspect."
