Jedi Knight Tillman Klorris was born on the Planet NaJedha where he learned firsthand how both precious and strong the force is. Shamans of the spiritual world known as the Whills were the sacred gatekeepers, walking from the Kyber Temple to Jedha City, preaching the rich history of the force. Before the Empire's occupation of the Planet, Kyber Crystals were mined and equally distributed to the Jedi as a means to ensure their continuous protection to the galaxy.
At the age of 6, Tillman and his parents Edile and Savarra were traveling merchants of rare spices and excavated gemstones. Their way of life was far removed from the horrors of war bounty hunters would bring. One afternoon, Tillman got separated when a huge crowd heard an ear piercing disturbance near the Kyber Mines. Curious and without hesitation, Tillman followed the crowd as they all stood before the southern entrance to the mines itself. His curiosity carried his feet inside as his parents called out to him from the crowd. From there, it was like the world closed itself off to him; only pitch blackness remained.
The mysterious screaming gradually went farther away, but at the same time the noise had a physical attachment to him, like a rope around his waist, pulling deeper underground. Coming upon a purple light with a Kyber work station inside, Tillman noticed eight Kyber workers trapped under heavy debris. He wasn't able to explain what happened next, only the will of the force guided his hands to lift the debris and set the injured workers free... one wasn't so fortunate however. Taraab Plak was the boy's name; no younger than 10 or 11. They never met before this moment.
His first time using the force was both frightening and unexpected at the same time. Carrying Taraab out of the mine, his folks along with the entire district was in awe of what he'd done. But no tears were shed for the deceased child. It was like all they could see was what they already believed in day and day out. Out of all them, one saw Tillman as a potential initiate for the Jedi Order.
Jedi Master Yusun Rangoon spoke at length on how strong in the force Tillman was, how his gift would get overlooked by "older" and "experienced" eyes. His parents ran to comfort Tillman as Master Rangoon made a life changing proposition.
"Name's Yusun Rangoon: force sensitive like your boy here and a member of the Jedi Order. I'll get straight to the point. It is no secret your child is strong in the force. NaJedha is ancient and has been a valuable supplier of Kyber Crystals for years. Truth be told, my force brothers and sisters would be defenseless without the livelihood of this planet. Now, I'm not one to harbor children but with your permission of course, I'd like to train your son to be a Jedi. It is time."
When the resurgence of the Sith appeared on Tattooine, the shroud surrounding a once extinct order disappeared. Rangoon didn't dance around the subject. The Order described him as direct, calculated, dared to question the Jedi Council if need be, and rumored to be on the same lightsaber skill level as Count Dooku. His parents reluctantly agreed to let Tillman travel to Coruscant on the condition they would come with him. Rangoon explicitly stated that a Jedi's path is solitary; no one can follow him.
Everything happened so fast for the boy, as is life itself. Master Rangoon made it a point to Tillman to never forget where he came from, knowing his birthplace is a prominent one, but at the same time focus on the present and let no one deter him from what he had to do. With his father having very little credits to support the three of them, Edile and Savarra Klorris both grieved and prayed in silence. Dark days lied ahead, and new discoveries would be sought.
(Side Facts)
-When faced with the Jedi Trials, Tillman completed the Trial of Skill when he dismantled a slave trade on the Planet Nelvan, deep within the Outer Rim Territories.
-He completed a rigorous Trial of the Flesh when faced against a bounty hunter named Ororo Ploc on Planet Vjuun: an acidic planet that was strong in the dark side of the force.
-Knighted at the age of 16 by Master Yoda
-Tillman's lightsaber is a single blade with a silver and teal sheen on the hilt, six small spikes surrounding the saber itself, and green.
-Under Master Rangoon's tutelage, Tillman was able to master Form 4 in Lightsaber combat. Though requiring the practitioner to be physically suited for such form, his flexibility and adapting to high pressure situations allowed him to seamlessly hone the Ataru form.
-He and Rangoon would often miss mission briefings issued by Master Mace Windu. Since Dooku's departure of the Order, an emptiness took hold on Rangoon's psyche. To him, it was a huge loss to future generations of Jedi, knowing his point of view on the force wasn't streamlined to one standard. Mace used to respect Yusun for his flying capabilities and stern nature of the force, but over time a rift between formed between them. Mace was always arrogant, Yusun thought, not even Master Cin Drallig had a chip on his shoulder. The only positive he took from this is the desert boy being trained by Qui-Gon Jinn's apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Chosen One... never had Yusun Mace on edge, determined to be the poster boy of the Jedi Order.
-At the age of 18 during the Clone Wars, Tillman develops an attraction to a Twi'lek Jedi Knight named Seeri Cuman (See-Ree Q-mahn)
-Their Master/Student relationship was "challenged" at times, seeing Rangoon had his work cut out for him when a Jedha native couldn't see past his beliefs. They fought, reconciled, and learned how the other person lived. When Tillman was finally knighted, six months into the Clone Wars there was hardly any time for celebration as Jedi Master Kit Fisto requested Rangoon's assistance at a droid factory on Mantula V: a planet strictly populated by Protocol Droids.
