Dante busted out the doors of his office, gun in hand and sword on back. He
looked up and saw a tower, where a man stood atop holding a gun to a
person's head. The man fired. Dante didn't care much, but when the man
jumped from the top of the tower and survived the sudden stop at the end,
Dante spoke three simple words, "Devil to kill." Dante jumped onto his
motorcycle and rode at max speed towards the unknown man. When he was
close, he flipped off and shot Alastor through the chest of the unknown
man. When he landed he saw the person's face. "Crap! A human! " Dante was
trying to figure out what he needed to do. "This wasn't supposed to
happen!" However, the man swung a spiked coffin into Dante's chest. "What
the hell?! This isn't a human?!"
"Not completely, at least", a mysterious voice said from the shadows.
"He's dead."
"What are you talking about?" "He died. Thrown out of an elevator from VERY
high up. I revived him. I made him indestructible." Now Dante knew why the
man carrying a coffin wasn't dead from the sword. After all, how can you
kill what's already dead? But Dante needed to know one thing before he was
sure he shouldn't cut the coffin man's head off.
"Who was that he killed just now?"
"The man atop the building, you mean."
"Yeah."
The voice in the shadows simply answered "The man who delivered the force
that took Grave's life." Dante understood. "By the way," the voice from the
shadows said, "His name is Grave" Since the dead man was so seemingly
powerful, Dante asked,
"Does he have some time to kill?" Dante asked this because his brother,
Nero Angelo, wasn't dead. But he needed to be. Dante then explained
"There's someone in my past that needs to die also."
Suddenly, the shadow voice said, "As long as his coffin's up to it." Dante
knew he was saying yes the moment he saw the spikes on the coffin. "But
he'll require something in return for helping, and I've noticed he's had
his right eye on those flaming bullets." But how could he see bullets that
were infused with devil power only after loaded into one of the guns? And
why did he say "his right eye"? Then Grave said something, but Dante
noticed that his lips weren't moving, "While I was dead, Dr. T, the voice
you've been hearing, made a few adjustments to my right eye."
"I can infuse some of your bullets with flame. And since this is such an
important mission, I'll put some lightning in too."
"That would be satisfactory. We have a deal, Mr. Dante"
Dante was sick of asking questions, so he just let the fact that Grave knew
his name alone.
