"I can't believe that you'd say that about me! You're supposed to be my boyfriend!" Kendra Mason shouted in the halls of Degrassi Community School.
Everyone gathered around Kendra and Toby. Degrassi's most stable couple fighting?Toby stared at her, his face getting redder by the minute. Kendra was blowing everything out of proportion.
Toby let out an exasperated sigh. The only thing he wanted right now was for Kendra to stop yelling at him in front of the whole school.
"Fine, Kendra. You're right. I'm sorry."
As soon as the words poured out of Toby's mouth, Kendra snapped at him.
"Sorry for what?"
"Sorry for whatever it is you're mad at me for."Toby replied. "You're making a scene."
Kendra was fuming by now. Not only did Toby insult her, but clearly he had no intention of really taking responsability for his actions. He only wanted to shut her up.
She looked him square in the eye and said "If you don't know what you're appologizing for, then don't bother. God! You would do anything to avoid confrontations!"
And with that, she walked away in a huff toward her next class. Toby yelled after her.
"Well at least I don't thrive on confrontations!"
Emma saw all of this coming out of the girls room and pulled Toby aside.
"What was that all about?"
Toby whispered below his breath, "Why do you want to know? You're just going to take her side."
Emma rolled her eyes. " Try me."
"Well, it all started when we were working on a computer program together. She wanted a green layout and I wanted a blue one. And we started to argue about why our colors would be the best. I called her my little control freak and she blew it way out of proportion"
"And it turned into what I just saw in the hallway?" Emma inquired.
Toby looked at her. He knew that Emma thought that the fight was petty. After all, she'd had some real fights with Sean.
"I know what you're thinking. I'm so not appologizing. She's the one who started yelling."
Meanwhile, Spinner caught up with Kendra on his way to his locker.
"Hey sis, can you do me a favor and..." Spinner stopped midsentence. He recognized the look upon Kendra's face. It's the same one she gave him at home when he really screwed up, like accidentally dropping her science project.
"What did I do now?" Spinner asked.
"It's not you, it's Toby." Kendra said through clenched teeth."He totally humiliated me in front of the class."
"And let me guess, you decided to take it a step further and humiliate him in front of the school?"Spinner questioned her.
Kendra bit her lip."Well, kind of. He really deserved it though."
Spinner put his arm around his little sisters shoulder."You wanna talk about it?"
Kendra told Spinner the same story that Toby told Emma, only with her own twist.
"So of course, what am I going to say after he calls me control freak in front of the class?" Kendra asked Spinner.
Spinner shook his head,"Oh, Kendra. Tell me you didn't. You called him a wimp."
"Something like that. I'm not appologizing. He started it."
