A Wonderer...
I've seen him, he's like fire and ice and rage.
He's like the night, the storm and the heart of the sun...
I know a man, a lonely man. A wonderer. He wonders, travels, throughout time and space. He goes wherever he chooses, wherever he feels.
Sometimes he winds up places that he never indented to go.
And sometimes, he never lands at all.
He wonders along time and space in a little blue box. The TARDIS he calls it.
If you look closely at the stars you can sometimes see it, floating by.
It's his home... Sometimes, it's all he has left.
A thing that looks like a police box standing in a junk yard
It can move anywhere in time and space...
But the thing is, no matter where he goes, no matter how far he runs
Trouble will always find him... Or sometimes the over way round.
He has fought so many monsters that he has probably lost count.
So many enemies... So many battles.
Not all of them have been won, but he always manages to set things right. In the end.
He has not only saved lives, but whole civilizations, planets, universes, even reality itself.
He has saved your lives so many times so many times and you never even knew he was there
He never stops, he never stays, he never asks to be thanked...
But he has been responsible for so many deaths, so many lives, and it haunts him, to this day.
It's why he's alone, it's why he's a wonderer.
How many more? Just think, how many have died in your name?
...The man who keeps running, never looking back because he dare not, out of shame.
His whole planet burned to nothingness, his race lost in a war. And his friends dead.
No wonder he's alone
Such a lonely little boy, lonely then and lonelier now...
But he doesn't always save the world alone...
He has friends, companions.
They are all drawn by the danger and the adventure that awaits them...
"Is it always this dangerous?"
"Oh yes!"
Do you wanna come with me? 'Cause if you do, then I should warn you — you're gonna see all sorts of things. Ghosts from the past, Aliens from the future The day the Earth died in a ball of flame. It won't be quiet, it won't be safe, and it won't be calm. But I'll tell you what it will be: the trip of a lifetime!
Wherever he goes, his companion, his friend, is not too far behind.
I've met a man, a time traveller, a hero, a wonderer.
He's a magical man, full of mystery, excitement and adventure.
I've seen him.
And his name is...
The Doctor.
