One afternoon in the Echizen Residence...
Nanjiroh and Karupin are the ones in the house. Nanjiroh is sitting while staring at his favorite "cutie babes" magazine, while Karupin sleeping beside him.
The doorbell rang, so Nanjiroh got up and went to see who was it.
it was Tezuka, wanting to see Ryoma.
"Oh... the captain..." Nanji said.
"Can I talk with Ryoma?" Tezuka replied.
"He's not here, probably he's on his way home.. maybe he searched for someone to date.. he he he..." said Nanji. "Why wont you wait for him? Come in.." he added.
A few minutes has passed, Ryoma has'nt arrived.
"Aren't you getting a little bored? Want to play a short match with me? Captain"
Nanjiroh asked
"Playing with the Samurai Nanjiroh is an honor, why should i decline?" Tezuka replied.
They went to the tennis court at the backyard. Warmed-up a little...
"Just a one set match, to kill time" said Nanjiroh.
"Which?" Tezuka asked.
"Smooth" replied Nanjiroh
it was "rough" tezuka gets the service.
"Here I go..." Tezuka served the ball

"Woooh! you're pretty serious already eh?" Nanjiroh said while quite amazed.
Next ball comes to service.
Nanjiroh gets to return it...

"Hmm.. Not bad." said Nanjiroh.. seemingly getting more serious..."
the game now stands at 30-0
Tezuka serves...
Nanjiroh returns it... A return ace! 30-15!
"Mada mada dana" Nanji now serious.
the game continues... 30 all... 40-30... deuce...
Tezuka looks like he wants to finish it.. now used Tezuka Zone...
after a few returns.. Nanjiroh noticed it.. now used his Echizen Zone...
another long rally... getting really intence.. no one moving in where they stand..
beside the net... Karupin was watching them.. a butterfly flew on his nose.. then he followed it... he went on the pole...
meanwhile... still nobody gives up on their Zone... its already been 13 minutes... and still at deuce... Karupin jumps on the net because he was chasing the butterfly..
Next? Karupin got hit by the ball... KNOCK OUT!
"Karupin!" Ryoma shouted, he just arrived seeing Nanjiroh hit Karupin with his shot...
the match was forfeited because of the incident...
"Old man... you never do anything right!" Ryoma addressing to Nanjiroh while carrying Karupin.
"Hey hey hey... it wasn't my fault." Nanjiroh replied
"It was an accident, Echizen" Tezuka explained.
