Jessica knew, how couldn't she, she knew the signs , they were always the same she just wished he trusted her enough to tell her. After all Samuel Winchester was not the first hunter she had ever known. She was 6 months old when her mother was killed by a, something a demon. Her father he was a strong man and he knew what he saw so he packed her up. He took her to the Roadhouse, He had heard of it from another hunter and there she met her first friend. Little Jo Anne, her Daddy was a hunter too. So Jess stayed with Miss Ellen and Jo and she learned and played, while their Daddies hunted. Ellen was worried she was always worried. Then one day her father picked up Jess and left. He said he knew enough. He could hunt on his own. So they went from town to town fighting hunting killing all the bad things that went bump in the night until she had enough. She told her Daddy she was going to school and he told her to have a nice time. To make him and Mommy proud. So when she met Sam Winchester she tried to be normal to have a normal life. To live happily ever after or so she thought. So there was the truth, he didn't trust her with his secret and she didn't trust him, and wasn't it ironic, it was a secret they shared. So she pretended not to notice the little things. She didn't say anything about the sithe he thought she never saw. She looked the other way when he lay down thin salt lines. She pretended not to notice as her mumbled in Latin before he turned out the light.
She never said anything about the symbols he lightly etched into their headboard. And Sam assumed she didn't know, if she had noticed she was sure to think he was crazy.
Sometimes she wished she would just tell him something, when the poltergeist was terrorizing the girls dorm, she wished she could just tell him, ask him if he wanted to help her banish it. But she kept quite just as he did. Then the brother came and told Sam their father was in trouble. And she wanted to cry because she knew this day would come. The day the hunter got called back to the field. And here was her chance to tell him she knew.
But she stayed silent.
Regret she finally knew what that was. To truly regret something. She did she regret never telling him. If she had maybe things would be different. Maybe she would have gone with them maybe…But she didn't and now as she lay pined to the ceiling she couldn't help but think maybe. And then a distant memory came to her, something her father told her the Christmas he met Sam. "There are three types of hunters baby, the lifers, those who have always know about the things we fight and do so because its their job. The fighters, the ones who saw something unbelievable and know they need to fight to get their vengeance. And the Winchesters, the ones with a soul purpose, revenge, they are dangerous to everyone and everything the Winchesters are legends babe and your tied up in one…" So for the first time Jessica More found herself wishing Sam would be late but as the door opened she knew it wasn't so. She looked down on him as she burned and he looked up and watched her burn just as he had watched his mother burn 22 years ago just as she had watched her own mother burn she knew she was helpless. But her fathers words burned in her ears and she hoped she would be avenged simply because
"They are dangerous to everyone and everything"
