It was cold. No sunlight. It reminded her of the dungeons. The eve of the final battle was upon them. There were tears; there were jokes; to try to block out the horrible thoughts in peoples minds. But nothing would ever block out the blood soaked memories that were to be created the following night.
The hall remained silent, except for the clatter of forks and the wailing of the ghosts telling them to flee, before it was too late. Little did they know it was already too late.
I could look into my classmates eyes and see the fear, like a heavy dark mass over their heads, sending them pictures into their mind as horrible as the predictions spurting from the professor who lives up in that incense filled tower.
They had to lock her up you know, she was sent to st. mongos. She went mad, as loony as they come. I can see her now, in a crème colored straight jacket lying in a padded room. This made me laugh.
I nodded apologetically to those that gave me questioning glances, they went straight back to their food. I looked up at the head table, at those who taught me everything I know, I loved them.
There at the end of the table he sat, half covered in shadows.
he was the devil.
He was the angel.
He was nor dark, nor light
He was the smirk that plastered every slytherins face.
He was every ones fears.
