Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be famous? Yes? Well, so have I. ME, an ordinary everyday normal Lupe, famous. Ha! That would be the day!
Well, these were my thoughts until I went to that camp. That camp that changed my life...Changed what I thought about fame...
My name is Kiyiya. I'm a blue female Lupe with no life. All day long I sleep and eat and watch TV; watch TV and eat. My owner says I should find something to do outside once in a while: like hang out with the neighbors, read, or take walks, but I always tell her that is not fun; that there is nothing that I want to do outside. She just shakes her head and walks away mumbling under her breath. I wonder what she's saying?
Today, you'll find me here sitting on the couch like I always am. Nothing's different. All is it same. Just the way I like it. Quiet. Relaxing...
My owner, Alex, bounds into the room, happier than usual. She has long, brown hair with blonde strips and glasses. She is pretty tall for her age, but nothing noticeable, like a future basketball player.
"Guess what, Kiyiya!" She exclaims with a huge smile on her face. Of course, there's always a smile on her face, but this one seemed, I don't know---different. Come to think of it, I've seen this look on her face before. When she was...getting revenge on the neighbors awhile back. I can't remember what that was for, but...what did I do wrong to deserve this look?
"What," I respond, swallowing nervously.
"I'm sending you to camp for the summer! It's a camp for Lupes!" I can see a hint of a smirk on her face.
"What?" I say back, completely surprised, to say the least. I knew what this was about. Me not going outside. I hadn't realized that never going outside was wrong...or being worth getting some kind of revenge on or whatever this was. "I'm not going to some camp in the middle of nowhere with smelly old Lupes for company!"
Alex narrows her eyes at me. "You're going and you're going to like it, you hear me? You need to stop lying around the house. You'll get sick."
Ah-ha. That's why...I knew there was no arguing with her, so I sighed and nodded my head slowly. If I refused to go, than she would keep bugging me, and bugging me, and bugging me until I couldn't stand being near her anymore.
"When do I leave?"
Alex's eyes lit up happily as I said this. She ran up to me and threw her arms around me in a giant hug.
I smiled softly. Alex just wasn't the owner you could stay mad at. She was so sweet and just had that charm about her that anyone could like. Except for that lady at the grocery store...but that's a different story...a completely different story...
"You leave next week," she replied, releasing me from the hug, "that should give you enough time to pack." With that, she skipped out of the room. To make dinner most likely. It was that time, after all.
