This is for Shin Riguel, it isn't what she had asked for, but I hope she likes it anyway. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!

"There you go." Kai said, bending down to feed the cats. Golden eyes watched and Kai smiled slightly at the cats. They snacked happily on the food he had just given them.

'Kai…' thought the owner of Amber eyes from the shadows of the building, 'Kai feeds stray cats?'

"I thought I'd find you up here." A voice called from the other side of the building. The mysterious person couldn't figure out who it was until he came beside Kai.

'Yuriy?'

"Though, I must admit that I didn't think you'd be feeding a bunch of stray cats." He continued.

"What do you what, Yuriy?" Kai asked harshly.

"Don't jump down my throat for Saints sake." Yuriy said defensively. "I wanna go out tonight and I can't find anyone to go with. What is with you and cats, anyway?"

"Well keep looking and it's none of your business." Kai said shortly, standing up and brushing his pants off.

"Come on, It'll be fun, and you really do have this weird fascination with Cats." Yuriy said. He had to dodge numerous punch attempts from his angry friend however. "What? I'm being serious! First your two cats back home that Sergei has, then Re—"

"Shut Up/Bastard/!" Yuriy managed to easily dodge every one of Kai's angered punches. "Look, whatever, I'm going to go con, Kon into coming with me, then you'll have to come. You wouldn't me all alone with your—" Yuriy said, running over by the building.

"Fuck Off, Ivonov!"

"Love you Too, Hiwatari!" Kai growled before looking down to the cats that still was eating, ignoring the stranger that had interrupted them.

"Ignore. Yuriy." He mumbled before going to leave. Only then, when he turned, did he notice that two, glowing eyes were looking at him from the shadows. Eyes he knew very well to belong to Rei Kon.

'How long has he been sitting there!?!' Kai's mind screamed. As per usual however, he kept his face cold.

"Get out here Rei." He commanded. Rei got up from his place leaning against the wall and walked up to Kai. No signs of fear were written on his face, but cool and collected as he normally was. He walked straight up to Kai and looked at him directly in his smoldering, ruby red eyes. "How long have you been there?" He asked.

"Long enough to see you feeding those cats and try to beat Yuriy's face in." He replied calmly.

"Did you hear what Yuriy was saying?" He asked stiffly,

"Kind of hard not to," Rei said, looking away so Kai couldn't see him roll his eyes. An uncomfortable silence floated between the two. Neither knowing what to say. As if sensing their discomfort, one of the cats slid it's body across both Kai and Rei's leg, asking them to pet her. As if by reflex, both lowered to the ground. Both lowered their hands to pet the cat, but it ran away, making theirs hands brush across the others. Not knowing what to say or do, the two just looked between each other.

"So, what is it…" Rei asked. "That you have with cats?" He asked playfully after a moment.

"I don't know. Something with their looks, personality…" Kai said the same way.

"What about this cat?"

"I defiantly have a thing for this cat," Rei smirked at Kai's answer.

"Good, because this cat loves Fiery birds."
