Lie low at Lupins.

A boggart. A simple being designed to show you that which you fear the most. It feeds on the fears that your mind produces, amplifies them, and shoves them right in your face. Your mind, of course, will believe this fear is real. The way to defeat a boggart is to think of something funny. Something that would decrease the fear and render it harmless.

It's best if there are more than one person trying to rid a hiding place of a boggart. Of course, the only other person who would have been able to help would have to be in the local village, not expected back until nightfall.

Battling a boggart, especially when one has nightmares of 12 years of previous hell, is not wise. The boggart, like all things, uses emotions against the offender. Fear being the main one, but from that fear stem doubt, hate, worry, and other emotions that will cause the person to give pause. It's crucial to find some way to squash these feelings. Most people would see creatures that lurk in the dark of the night, childhood fears, or even Voldemort. Things that could utterly destroy them, remove them from everything they know, and make their lives a living hell.

But what do you do when you see yourself?

Just something I put together last year, it was never going to end up on this site. I changed my mind, however, just because. ::Shrugs:: Reviews are welcome, though not expected. After all - it is only 220 words. ;-)
