Author's Note:

This story is not going to be your conventional fanfiction. Instead, it's going to be a list of songs I believe could represent possible (mainly non-canon) events, or themes, from the Underland Chronicles. A lot of these are going to be Gluxa-related. I'm big on Gluxa. These songs will be followed by a (semi-butchered) link to lyrics, for reference, and an explanation of why I think these songs qualify. If you don't get it, just tell me so in the reviews and I'll see if I can clear it up by sharing my thoughts some more. I hope you enjoy! (As an aside, I will probably end up posting a songfic for one of these songs, which will not be listed here, because I have an idea for it. I hope these links work...)

Number 1: So Far So Good by Jonathan Coulton

I chose this song because I felt that it could represent an event where Gregor has returned to the Underland, but is now leaving, for whatever reason. Just read the lyrics. You'll see what I mean. Fill in the blanks.

Number 2: Teenagers by My Chemical Romance

I chose this song because I felt that it could represent a future in which Gregor has gone... Let's say... Mildly insane. And possibly killed some people. Like, his family. I don't know, I just got this vibe when I listened to the song. I bet you'll agree, when you see the lyrics.

Number 3: Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry

This was the first song I thought of for this thing. I felt it kind of represented the end of Code of Claw, when Gregor has to leave Luxa and all the other Underlanders. Obviously they wouldn't be drinking wine, but still... I definitely felt that in this song. Like, the entire rest of it. Except for the parts with the wine. Yeah.

Number 4: Ain't No Rest for the Wicked by Cage the Elephant

It's like that because I quickly made a page for it so you wouldn't have to deal with all the ads on commonplace lyric websites. Or commonplace lyric websites in general. They're kinda suspicious to me... Oh, and the same goes for all the other "" links.)

This one isn't as sure. I was listening to it, and I sort of heard Gregor in it. I imagine the singer to be an old Gregor, and for the song to happen. Seems like it fits...

Number 5: Boys Don't Cry by The Cure

This one is another unsure one, and I'm not sure I entirely like it (it, to me, could be talking about Gregor and Luxa breaking up. Which I'm against. Gluxa forever!). As I mentioned in my parentheses, I could see this being about Gregor and Luxa first being together (somehow) and then breaking up, which is apparently Gregor's fault. Alternately, it could be about Gregor having gotten married to an Overlander woman, and she has now left him, because he was bad. Or something. Just go look at the lyrics!

A/N: That's the end of this part. If I come up with more songs, they'll be posted in a new chapter. If I ever get around to writing that songfic, that'll also be a new chapter. And yes, I'm aware that this story is almost completely illegal in regard to fanfiction's rules. Let's hope that they don't strike it down...
