Hi guys. I don't own Avatar. Please review, or add to favorites, but PLEASE. NO FLAMES.

She sat and cried. There was no sound but her sorrow-filled sobs. Her body shook as she sat there alone. There was no one else there, of course. Who would come her at this hour? Yet she knew she had to. It was a special day. His special day. But she forced to spend it without him.

"Happy birthday," she muttered as she ran her hand over the words on the stone: "Zuko. Friend, husband, father."

As her sobs died out, her sorrow began to change to anger. It didn't take long for her to become completely furious. "How could you?" she asked. She wondered if he was somewhere up there listening. "How could you leave me? You never had to leave without me. Yet you make me suffer this life without you.

"I hate you. I hope you know that. I hate you with every cell of my body, with every part of my being. I hate you for leaving me. I hate you for breaking me. For making me weak! For tearing me down! For making me love you, and miss you."

The tears were back, and she didn't know if she would make it through. How could she? He wasn't here. She knew he would've hated the way she was throwing away her life, but she just couldn't bring herself to care.

Several more hours passed before a small boy showed up. He sighed as he noticed the lady and walked over to her. He wrapped his arms around her. He held her while she cried.

"I love you," she whispered. Lee didn't know if she was talking to him or Zuko, but he didn't care. He just held her. Eventually, her cries died down.

"Let's go home, Mom," he said after a long while.

She allowed him to pick her up and put his arm around her should. As Zuko looked down on the Earth, he whispered, "I love you, too, Katara. I'm so sorry for leaving you."
