USxUK- Raindrops

Alfred F. Jones stared at his window pane with an annoyed expression. It was raining today, and Alfred felt as if the whole world was shrouded in gloom. Raindrops pitter-pattered on the roof and splattered on the outside of the window. To Alfred, it was just plain sad and depressing. He hated the rain. 'Huh... Now I know how Arthur feels...' Alfred mused to himself as he thought about his British boyfriend. Arthur Kirkland was supposed to visit him today via a 9 to 10 hour airplane ride. Sadly, his flight to the U.S. had been cancelled due to rain. Arthur had called his beloved boyfriend just hours before to inform him, with disappointment and deep sadness laced in his voice. So now, Alfred is here sitting at his window sill, staring at the rain with sorrow in his heart and a certain blonde haired, green eyed Brit in his head.

Alfred sighed, getting up to go make himself some coffee. It always had a way of cheering him up somewhat. He trudged down the stairs and suspected to find his kitchen clean and normal. It was, but there was an addition to the room. A bouquet of goldenrods sat in a glass vase on the kitchen table. Alfred cautiously approached the vase, looking at the flowers more carefully. They were beautiful and light, a startling contrast to the dreary atmosphere outside. Alfred smiled a bit, but then a worrying thought occurred to him. Who was in his house?

All of those scary thoughts clouding his head vanished when he heard an "Ahem" come from behind him. He turned and what he saw made his eyes widen in joy. Arthur was staring back at Alfred with a smile on his lips. "Surprise, love," he said with a chuckle. Alfred couldn't help but embrace the Brit in his strong arms, grinning like Italy whenever he saw pasta. "Artie! How did you get here? I thought your flight got cancelled!" Alfred exclaimed, surprised. Arthur merely smiled, "Well it was, but in a spur of the moment, I decided to hop aboard my boss' jet, saying that I needed to have an emergency meeting with you. I just arrived a few minutes ago." Alfred smirked, with Arthur still in his arms, "Lying to your boss? Are you sure you're my Iggy?" Arthur smirked and leaned forward towards his American lover, their lips only a breath apart, "Will this answer your question?" He then kissed Alfred right on the lips.

'He tastes so sweet... Like tea...' Alfred thought as he tightened his grip around Arthur's waist and buried his other hand in his sandy blonde hair. Arthur moaned into the kiss and wrapped his arms around Alfred's neck bringing him closer. The two then broke away and made their way to the living room to enjoy their time together.
