Hermione lay on her bed in her room, thinking about what had happened. She didn't know why Seamus had raped her, or why it was her he'd chosen. All she knew is that she could never let anyone find out. So she acted like nothing was wrong, and no one asked. Every night she lay in bed and relived it in her dreams. Every morning she would wake up and cry. It was all routine now, but the pain of it all was still as vivid as when it happened.
And then there was Ron. She loved him so much that it made her feel queasy. But it felt so horrible, lying to him like this. But I can never tell him she thought. He's already got problems to deal with. I shouldn't make him live with mine. But in truth, she needed to tell someone.
One day when he came over, he saw the cut on her wrist. Maybe that was when it all started. He asked with tears in his eyes why she did it. She wouldn't tell him. She thought it would kill him, so she kept him in the dark about it. He left it there and didn't push the matter, but the next day he came back. He said that he'd had a dream last night, that it seemed so real. He said that he'd had a dream before that actually happened. He turned to her and said how he hoped this wasn't the case. He told her, trembling, that in the dream she had been raped, and asked if that was what happened. She couldn't meet his eye, so she looked away and nodded slowly. He tried his best to comfort her, but the damage had been done. She would never be the same.
lllllllll
He sat on the floor, his most angsty music playing as loud as he could put it. His eyes were void of all emotion, empty holes that only showed that he thought he was a failure. He felt as though it was his fault that this had happened to her. And he couldn't help her. It drove him mad, to the point of attempting suicide. The fact that he had to sit there and do nothing, to not try to get back at the little bastard who ruined her life like this, was simply too much to bear. He felt so helpless, and just wished he could do something to help her. But he couldn't. So all he could do was be there if she wanted him, and to keep loving her as he had always done. He only hoped it would be enough.
