There were sweet wrappers strewn across his desk, a can of cola on the side beside his head and a phone in his hand. He'd fallen asleep, giving some advice to his old Hunter colleagues. He'd found it strange since they'd been out of touch for months. Dean especially had told him to stay out of it. He'd done what Sam and Dean couldn't. He'd gotten out of that life, out of Hunting, except now he lived with a pack of monsters. Like himself. Werewolves. It had been a tough time going though in the beginning, especially when they'd gone rogue and started attacking Humans, all in the name of Ragnarok. Sam and Dean had stopped it, killing those responsible. When they'd left they'd told Garth to stay with his pack because they knew those wolves were his family.
Riiiiiiinnnnnggg!
'Hello, Agent Clay.' Garth bolted upright at the noise his thin lips spread in a wide, sleepy smile. A Hunter needed his help, again. It was a rare occurrence, but he was beginning to feel useful again. After all he hadn't seen a lot of real action since the Winchester brothers had left, and a small part of him wanted to get back out there.
'Garth, it's Sam,' Sam Winchester greeted and Garth sighed. Good, he was far too tired to play FBI Agent.
'What can I do you for Sam?' Garth asked and there was a pause whilst what sounded like Dean arguing with him in the background.
'Sammy I told you not to ring him, he's out remember?'
'Dean you rang him yesterday, remember?' Sam retorted and it sounded like Dean swore.
'What did you Idjits want this time?' He asked, his fatigue frustrating him. Last night Dean had asked for help on a strange god case. One of those strange, rare Pagan ones that didn't die the usual way. Now what?
'Have you heard from Jodie? There's a vampire nest in Sioux Falls but we've got our hands tired here. Could you call her and let her know?' Dean asked and Garth sighed. He was never asked to join in, never asked to go on the Hunt with them. But he could stay home and relay a message.
'Sure,' Garth said and hung up, before dialing the number for Jodie Mills Cell.
