Tsuna could only stand there paralyzed behind a wall as she heard the conversation going on just a few feet away. She felt tears sting her eyes but she didn't dare blinking to let them fall, scared that even that would alert the two she was hiding from. Her hands were clamped over her mouth as she tried to hold in her hurt, she didn't have the right to be upset by this, she didn't have the right to take this from him too.

"Yamamoto-kun, I really like you." Ayumi voice was soft and melodic, no wonder she was one of the most popular girls in school, her talent in the school choir known school wide. "I…I was wondering if you would consider going out with me?" she asked in that nice humble manner that made her wonderful, as though she was unaware of her own attractive features.

Tsuna wanted to call her on the act, Ayumi had to know that she was pretty she just wanted all the boys to like her, she wanted Yama-

Tsuna bit her lip, trying to shake herself from such thoughts, if Yamamoto wanted to be with Ayumi, then Tsuna didn't have the right to stop him.

She had already taken too much from him.

So she ignored the pain in her heart as she imagined Yamamoto standing there, a cute blush on his handsome features as he put his hand on the back of his head, scratching at his scalp as though thinking. His lips would pucker the way they always did when he was thinking about something. Then he would smile his usual Yamamoto smile and turn to Ayumi with an acceptance on hi-

"I'm sorry Ayumi-chan." Yamamoto said, his voice serious, giving no room for debate on the matter, "I have someone that I already really like." he said a smile in his voice.

"Who?" Ayumi demanded her voice no longer soft and melodic, it was harsh and angry, "It's that Tsuna girl isn't it?" Tsuna gasped lightly into her hands at the sound of her name being thrown around, for a moment she allowed herself to hope, "I can be a million times better then her!" Ayumi exclaimed.

"No not Tsuna." Tsuna bit her lip, why did listen into this? She should leave now to avoid having her heart broken further by this conversation, she turned to leave, but a hand caught hers, and she felt her back being pressed against something warm, "Ayumi-san isn't anywhere near a million times better then Tsuna." Yamamoto's mouth was right next to her ear, his breath tickling her as he spoke, and Tsuna stood there too embarrassed to even blush, "I mean just look how cute she is!" he exclaimed.

With a scream of frustration Ayumi turned and stormed off, "You'll regret this!" she cried out not bothering to turn around.

"I hate girls like her." Takeshi growled his arms loosening around Tsuna, not seeing as orange eyes widened in comprehension.

"H-How c-c-could you-" she went to ask, beyond hurt at the fact that she had been used to ward off a girl, she was going to scream and maybe even cry.

Then two lips pressed against her cheek and Tsuna was struck speechless. When he pulled away she regained mobility and her hand flew to her cheek while her head whipped around and somehow found herself tangled in Yamamoto's arms.

"I can't stand girls who think they're better then you. No one can beat Tsuna!" he exclaimed pressing his lips onto hers.
