"Addie!" I look at the little girl who's just opened the door of my bedroom.

Being five years old. It has to be a great thing, but not if your daddy is killed.

"Hi sweetie." I try to reassure her with my smile.

"Can I sleep in the bed with you, Addie?"

"Sure." I say as she climbs on my lap and sinks her head in my breast. "You know babe, it's really late. You should be asleep."

"I can't help it. I wanna cry. I want my daddy!"

"Shh... it's okay to cry; daddy knows you miss him."

I hug her and rock her, and my heart is tore apart at the scene.

"And he also knows that I love him, right?" she asks innocently, and even if I adore her innocence I don't feel like it's time to smile and be happy.

I just feel the loss, too.

"Yes, he knows. Come on Amelia, let's go to sleep."

I lie on this bed, at a quarter to one in the morning, with this little kid in my arms.

"Addison." another whisper comes in the night, and I look at the door, a bit afraid of how he will look like to me.

Derek is there, with red eyes and with his hair tousled. I'd want to get up and hold him tight, let him know that I'm here, cry on his shoulder and hear his heartbeat, but I can't move, because this little lovely girl fell asleep on me.

"Did she fall asleep?" Derek asks rhetorically, running his fingers through his sister's hair.

I nod, founding myself not able to speak.

My boyfriend caresses me on the head, and I close the eyes.

I feel heavy and tired in my twenty years of life.

"You have me Derek. We have each other. But what will be of this girl?" I say with my trembling voice.

I can see the surprise in his dark eyes while he looks at me.

"You always put others first. That's what I like the most about you." he tells me as he gently comes to lie next to me. "Even when you're suffering like hell, you put others first." he closes his eyes, and takes my hand.

We stay like that, (I'm unable to sleep), listening to each other's breath.

Hey I'm back with another one-shot! Hope you like it :) Unfortunately, I'm not really sure about some sentences, so please tell me if there are mistakes.

I really loved Amelia's character, so I thought about this little moment with Addie, and I'm really in an Addek mood lately ;p

I was thinking about some other scenes, but I'll write them only if you want me to :) :) and if yes, I accept suggestions :p
