Heyy Guys! This is my new story :D Kind of like a crossover between the show H2o: Just Add Water but it only has Twilight characters so I don't think it should be a crossover... anyway, I'm excited so please review :)
My mum was sending me to live with my father, Charlie. She had just remarried to a minor league baseball player, Phil. They wanted to go on the road, find Phil a new job. Me, clumsy Bella, pale, from Phoenix, going to live in one of the wettest places in America.
Being in a very wet place would be a huge problem for me. When I touch water I turn into a mermaid. It has happened since I was nine and I have never told anyone. I haven't told anyone because I don't really won't to be considered more of a freak that I already am, and I don't want to end up in a circus or an aquarium.
However, being a mermaid is not the only abnormal thing about me. There are many more. I can also manipulate liquid - make it move around - freeze liquid and boil it. I also don't need to sleep. I never get tired. My finger nails - and toe nails - change colour according to my mood. And I have super speed and endurance – but only in the water. So that doesn't change the fact that I am the clumsiest person in the universe. And, of course, I could breathe underwater. And whenever it was dark the water strangely lights up around me... almost like a star was around me... And I could communicate with marine animals. It was more like I could feel what they were feeling so I could help them if assistance was needed.
But that still wasn't all of it. I also have magical powers.
Hydro-kinesis is the ability to move water with your mind, as well as expanding it and moulding it into a variety of shapes. My hand movement for this power is a turned up palm and I curl my fingers towards my body.
Aero-kinesis is really an enhancement of my Hydro kinesis - it is the power to control wind - I can create breezes, strong gusts of air that can knock people off their feet or updrafts strong enough to lift hundreds of pounds. It can also been used to levitate objects books or and even people.
Telekinesis is the ability to move objects without touching them. I discovered this power when I was sick at home; lying on my bed and the book I was currently reading was on the other side of the room. Without knowing my hand was in the same position I had used for Hydro kinesis and then it just literally came to me. It became very handy when I was sleeping and didn't want to get off and turn of the light.
Hydro-Cryokinesis is the ability to freeze water. My hand movement for this is like that of a stop sign. I primarily used this power back in Phoenix to make ice creams with orange juice. I'm sure that I wouldn't be using that too often in Forks.
Cryokinesis is the power and ability to manipulate generate and control ice and snow, create unusually strong blizzards, snowstorms and snowfall, and freeze an entire area, room or building with solid ice and create a variety of shapes out of solid ice. I used my same hand movement for hydro-cryokinesis for Cryokinesis.
Hydro-Thermokinesis is the power to heat and boil water. The hand movement for this power is a closing/closed fist.
Pyrokinesis is the upgraded version of Hydro-Thermokinesis. With this I can easily start, control and put out fires (even on water) and it is the same hand movement for hydro-thermokinesis.
Electrokinesis is like an enhancement of hydro-thermokinesis. It causes extreme lightning and power outages it is just like my other heat related powers.
Pyrokinesis is the ability to create, move, and manipulate the element fire with your mind, this is used to create or superheat objects, cause combustion over objects, and start fires with your mind. You can also shape and move the fires too. It is an enhanced version of Hydro-thermokineis also can be used to create electricity from the sky and conduct it in other ways.
Gelidkinesis is the power to turn water (and any liquid substance or moisture of any kind) into a jelly-like compound. And it can be used to explode moisturized objects, like drains, drinks, and turn other chemicals solid or jellied.
Substanciakinesis the ability to harden water into a substance similar to glass or crystal. My hand movement for this is very strange. I use my two hands and hook my hands together and stick my fingers up - sort of like a butterfly shape with my hands.
Psammokinesis is the ability to manipulate and mould mud with your mind. This is possibly the variety of sands too, upgraded version of susbtanciakinesis.
Mecokinesis is the ability of my combined substanciakinesis and gelidkinesis which equals the ability to make water or jelly explode, and also be used to glue objects together. My hand movement for this power is my arm held out with my hand bent down.
Geokinesis – power over earth elements. Another half atmospheric ability. This is very hard for me to do because I took a lot of different elements to achieve. I had to use both my arms and tense them up - it didn't necessarily matter what position my arms were in. I hadn't near mastered my ability - the furthest I had gotten was moving my bed a few centimetres to the right, trying to make a small earthquake.
Combined Atmokinesis is called when three powers are combined and they are able to control the weather, a combination of hydro-thermokinesis, Hydrokinesis and Hydro-Cryokinesis.
Aqua-Melikinesis The ability to edit and manipulate the colours and tastes of liquids and waters, this can be used to render taste of liquid, cause so much ease that the liquids can explode and even be used to change the appearance of liquids and substances too. I remember finding this power in science class when I was 13. I wasn't very great at science back then and the experiment for that day was to do with food dye. I had spilt of mine and my partners purple food dye and all I was left with was an empty beaker. I was panicking so I started picking at nails and then, suddenly the water was purple. My hand motion was similar to the hand motion children make when they pretend that their hands are talking.
Lygokines is the ability to cause enough ease in substances or liquids that they can explode or partially discombobulate, this is used to freeze time where water or liquids are. This is also use of being able to generate water but not manipulate it -an enhanced version of aquameliakinesis. I have never used this very often, only a few times when I had gotten a bloody knee and had wanted to clean it off.
Atmoskinesis is the ability to create and manipulate the weather or atmosphere with your mind, this can be a range of effects like storms, and sun rays, manipulation over rain, and possibly creates thunder and lightning. This is combined with my Lygokinesis so it has a strong use of objective control.
And when there is a full moon... very strange things happen, I feel a huge need to be in water and if I see the moon or the reflection of the moon in water I turn into a mermaid. And that happens quite frequently. The full moon would be significant to me given that the full moon was what changed into a mermaid.
I was nine and I went swimming at the beach when it happened. I don't remember too much but I remember how bright everything was. I was pretty sure that I was directly under the moon when whatever happened, did. Water began to bubble around me and the water around me began to light up. Next thing I knew I was back on shore.
I was pretty sure that I was the only one of my kind.
Manipulating water could sometimes come in very handy. Especially when it was raining. No one would ever notice when I did this but I carefully made the water move around me so it wouldn't touch me. It took me ages of practising in the shower but I had finally perfected it.
Charlie - chief of police in Forks - was waiting by his cruiser when I walked out of the airport.
"Hey, Dad." I smiled as I gave him an awkward one-arm hug.
"Hey, Bella. I'm glad that you are staying for a little while." The look on his face was the proof that what he was saying was true.
Charlie and I very shy, so the car ride to Forks was a very quiet one. We exchanged a few comments about the weather and that was about it until Charlie said, "Bella, I picked out a really good car for you, really cheap."
That's good, I thought, I wouldn't have to walk to school every morning in the rain and I wouldn't have to have the Chief of Police drop me off every morning. Then I realised something.
"Wasn't I going to go and get myself a car?"
"Well, I kind of already got for you… you know, like a welcoming gift…" Charlie was clearly embarrassed.
"Oh well, thanks." My thank-you sounded very pathetic. I stared out the window for the rest of the trip. Soon, my surroundings were looking more and more familiar and I knew that we were getting closer to Charlie's – and my – house.
We pulled into his driveway, behind an old red Chevy truck. I was immediately in love with that car. It was old, but it was sturdy - which is good because I tend to attract danger.
"Wow, Ch-Dad! I love it, thank you so much!"
"Well, now you're welcome," He said uncomfortably. "Uhm, why don't you go inside and start un-packing?"
"Yeah, sure. Could you please help me carry my bags?"
"Sure, Bella."
We both reached into the trunk of the cruiser and grabbed some bags each. Once inside we brought them upstairs and into my room.
My room was just how I had remembered it from when I was little. I was very pleased to see the rocking chair still in the corner from my baby years.
I heard a thud and I realised that it was Charlie putting my bags down.
"So, I'll just leave you to it then?
"Yeah, okay." Charlie left the room.
I was glad Charlie didn't stick around and left me alone to unpack everything.
I finished unpacking a soon after Charlie left but I told him that I was too tired for dinner – but the truth was I didn't want him to see me crying.
The worst part was that this horrible feeling would only get worse when I had to go to school tomorrow. The tears began to fall at a rapid pace. I just wish I were able to sleep so I didn't have to endure this torture.
